Favoritizes certain students based on wealth or popularity Instructors are typically black belts who are only 3 degrees or under, and staff previously taught a student (me) who was a higher belt than them, could not teach anything new, and cant trick. Staff are rude and power tripping, despite being less of a belt rank than a student (me). Staff threatens students (Family) by lashing out during sparring class, when an opposing student is knocked down and mildly injured, but crying. Context: They slipped and fell. Teachers do not know the material or curriculum they are supposed to teach. Instructors bribe students and family during ticket events, saying to give a 5-star review on their website for a chance to gain a prize. Staff are unproductive in the office, and learn a curriculum during the class they "teach" Instructors fail to learn any trick above slightly advanced, trying to teach students how to backflip despite not being able to do one themselves, and not knowing how to teach them to do one. The highest trick they know is an Ariel, and almost all of them can't do or teach a 540 kick. Attempts to peer pressure you into a separate program where YOU pay money for YOUR KIDS to teach and learn to teach in class. Another program is a DEMO TEAM that DOES NOT do any demos or competitions. Another offer is to pay money to advance a student to the next rank immediately, WITHOUT learning the skills needed later on. Refuses to admit any students into WSKL (Wisconsin Sport Karate League) Tournaments. However, you do not need approval to enter, just a dojo name. Refuses to expose students to the martial arts world, or advertise WSKL tournament to grow student skills. Uses Outdated curriculum for tricking, with videos from 15 to 20 years ago. Student discipline is low, and instructor YELL at STUDENTS who are black belts despite not teaching any sort of discipline or good form. DO NOT go here, especially if you want to progress in martial arts.

I was told well that's the amount that you were paying before and I'm glad that we caught he the problem now so that it could be fixed. Mind you the owner requested bank statements of the over paid amounts that I did provide. Also I was promised that my account would be closed and that additional money wouldn't be taken out and promised a written form stating this that I never received and the promise of closing my account never happened either. We were lucky enough to find a spot for piano since at that time, there was this long wait list. However, since we were able to come in during school hours, we were given a piano slot! The staff at the Academy are friendly and nice. The atmosphere homey and non threatening. My DS loves his lessons at the school and it was the right decision for us to place him here. I think the rates are reasonable as well and they do have some sort of scholarship too that they give out.
