Creative Child was recommended to me by a friend from church. She knows the director personally, because the director teaches Sunday school/religion classes to her child. When I first arrived, I was welcomed to take a tour of the center. The director was friendly and answered all of my questions. She reassured me and made me feel at ease. My 3 year old has been going there for 3 months. I couldn't be happier. The staff is wonderful and the director cares for the children there as if they were her own. My child did have a few issues adjusting and lashed out at her teacher, but we all met and figured out the best way to handle it. The director (and teacher) were very understanding and offered worked with us to resolve the issue. I couldn't imagine trusting anyone else with my child. I'm so glad for Creative Child!

While I do enjoy most of the teachers at Creative Child, I don't care for the way the director…read moreoperates her business. Unless you have a very mild mannered 2-5 year old, who never acts out or misbehaves, I would not recommend this place. I wanted to pull her out for months but instead, kept working with them on things so I didn't have to add anymore changes to my daughter's life. Well, let's just say I wish I would've pulled her much sooner. The director also spoke to me as if I were a child, spoke to me poorly about my child and then behaved like a child once I gave my 2 week notice. Positive thing is most of the actual teachers are caring and have good programs for the children throughout the day.

I believe that FPA gives students an education that truly prepares them for the real world. In addition, the administration is always considering what's best for the students and striving to make FPA the best it can be for the families that enroll there. And, because of the work of the dedicated teachers, when students leave FPA, they are ready for college, jobs, or anything else they choose to do. FPA is truly a fantastic program. You should definitely check it out!

Only compaint is that all the TVs are like stuck on Fox News. Blegh. Where's the CNN?

I especially love how thoughtfully they balance academics with practical, real-life skills--gardening, caring for themselves, and learning to take care of their classroom and environment. It feels like they're helping the kids grow into capable, curious little people, not just teaching them letters and numbers. Communication with families is wonderful, and I really appreciate all the little things they provide, like breakfast and snacks and a cute outdoor playground the kids love. You can tell so much thought goes into what and how the children are learning. Most importantly, my daughter is genuinely happy to go to school. We had a terrible experience with a Montessori school prior to joining Wood Violet and I am very glad to see a school sticking to a true Montessori education. Mary and Colleen are very engaged in helping me make sure Sophia grows up as an independent but caring and compassionate individual. I think we are succeeding! I love that I am able to pack Sophia's lunch everyday as it is important to me to know what she's eating regularly. Our daughter was about 75% potty trained as she started there and in two weeks these two angels had her at 100%! Their patience and kindness will forever be appreciated! We also love the fact we know every family that attends. I am not one for huge schools. I think a lot of the personal connections get lost when physical places are too big, with too many students and teachers stretched thin. This mighty little school is perfect for us! It breaks my heart when I drop Sophia off and I kiss her and she's off! lol No crying for mommy, just gone and playing with her friends before I have closed the door. I can focus on my business during the day as I know Sophia is being loved and cared by two amazing teachers!
