We wanted to gain insights into how our child learned, where the gaps were, and how we could help. We reached out to Dr. Allison Evans directly and provided some background about our child. Dr. Evans agreed that an evaluation may be appropriate, and it felt collaborative from the very beginning. The testing itself was comprehensive and thoughtfully spaced out over two days so as not to be too taxing on our child. Our child actually enjoyed the experience overall and still asks when they will be going back to see "Allison." Dr. Evans did an excellent job making the evaluations age appropriate and game related when possible with plenty of breaks. We had a parent debrief meeting a few weeks after the evaluation was completed, during which Dr. Evans walked us through her results in depth and patiently answered all of our questions. She also sent a formal report that was incredibly detailed and well organized with results, diagnoses, and school and parent recommendations. That report became the foundation on which we built our child's case for an IEP with her public school. Dr. Evans also agreed to participate in our IEP eligibility meeting, where she proved to be a formidable advocate and ally. Her presence and expertise were pivotal in helping us secure the IEP at a moment when it seemed like the school was not planning to offer one. She truly helped us change the trajectory of our child's education by giving us the knowledge we needed to understand their learning disabilities and the support to navigate the IEP process with confidence. We are deeply grateful for her expertise, her partnership, and her genuine care for our family. We would highly recommend her services to anyone in need of a neuropsychologist.

So, I started researching different…read moreACT test prep services and was impressed by the timely and thoughtful communications I received from Sexton Test Prep & Tutoring. Sarah Sexton sent us a mock ACT for my son to take which Sarah scored to determine a baseline - a disappointing 21. I worked with Sarah and my son to choose among several tutors (great bios available online) and decided on Kate Kelly. My son met 1:1 with Kate at the Wellesley library once a week for 12 weeks, and Kate was very flexible if my son had to reschedule. She kept me in the loop about how his strengths and challenges were progressing. When all was said and done, my son achieved a 28 composite ACT score, a vast 7-point improvement. This improved score resulted in him being accepted into some of his favorite colleges that had previously been out of reach. We'll soon know where he's headed in the Fall, and I'm definitely going to use Sexton Test Prep for my sophomore-aged son when he's ready. This not insignificant investment in 1:1 tutoring is worth every penny. In fact, the improved ACT score automatically qualified my son for a $24K scholarship at one school and $40K in another. But Ben Sexton was able to identify exactly where her skills were lacking and help her raise her math score by several points, even though we had previously tried other test prep tutors who weren't successful. Ben really came at things from a strategic perspective my daughter could relate to, and explained his plan and thinking before hand. He also tutors in person and came directly to our house, which was very convenient, and proved flexible working with my daughter's schedule as well. She was able to approach the next testing date with understanding and confidence and managed to improve her score. We were very pleased with Sexton Tutoring and plan to use them again.

I had my child in the infant room from 4 months until 13 months. Marie, Regis and Marilyn took such wonderful care of my son. He was always happy, practically leaped out of my arms to go to his teachers and cried when we left. A GOOD SIGN! The daycare is an old house that was converted. They don't have the bells and whistles that some "daycare chains" have, but it's not the paint on the walls, or the toys that I'm paying for. It's the teachers, staff and care I want. They have staff that is older and has been doing this awhile. They aren't burned out, you don't find them texting or surfing their phones. You'll find them constantly cleaning, playing and singing. My son was very happy at the CCC and I was sad when I had to pull him out. I will never find a place like it. They were extremely willing to accommodate my insane schedule, they were affordable and they were real. It was like dropping my child off at a grandparents house. Complaints? none. I only wish I could clone them.

The technology is great so I'm able to see what's going on daily with pics and videos and get updates on development from their perspective. No paper filling out ever- all done via app. The teachers also keep a bright horizons journal that's updated monthly with pictures and stories that is an amazing keepsake. My daughter LOVES all her friends and teachers and it makes drop off a positive experience.

The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and go above and beyond to help you succeed. They put in a tremendous amount of time and thought to provide each participant with exactly the style of feedback and support they need. While the knowledge and skills you need to successfully complete the program are the same for each participant, the style and specificity of the feedback and support you are get is very individualized. You do have to put in the hours, the effort and the work to do well (and it is a LOT of work!) but they guide you every step of the way. I learned more in ten days of direct instruction in this program than I did in two years of graduate school.
