Chigger's is a Fast and the food is good. It's a dairy ice cream and fast food place, so expect deep fried and grilled food:)

Olde Dutch Restaurant in Logan -- so many people hyped this place up that we had to check it out…read more It's buffet style with all-you-can-eat salad bar, soups, hot dishes, and pies. Drinks are extra, and there's also a small $1-2 supplemental fee added on, which felt a little odd since it could probably just be included in the buffet price. The food itself is very classic home-style comfort food with lots of options. Nothing super fancy or out of the ordinary, but everything tasted fresh and the buffet was constantly being refilled every few minutes. We also got the iced sweet teas, which seemed to be really popular since almost every table had one. One unique thing -- the entrance and exit are through the gift shop, and you also pay there at the end of your meal, which definitely adds to the old-school country restaurant experience. Our waitress was attentive and friendly throughout the meal, too. Overall, worth the stop for the experience and comforting homemade-style food while visiting Logan.

This place was hopping but somehow everything flowed smoothly. We tried a little bit of everything- chicken and noodles, salad, stewed tomatoes, asparagus, has brown casserole, pie, etc. my husband seemed to really enjoy their fried chicken. They also offer a menu you can order from a la carte. The buffet was so extensive that we ended up sticking with it. I only hold off on the fifth star because some of the food was over salted and/or overcooked (especially the veggies- asparagus, cauliflower, etc).

I recently got to try Buck's through a catered lunch at work, and I was pleasantly surprised…read more The food was delivered hot and made the meeting room smell delicious. I got a tray with a pulled pork sandwich, cowboy beans, and coleslaw. The pork was very flavorful with just enough smoke for my tastes, and it went well with the barbecue sauce it came with. I was also impressed with the cowboy beans. Typically, I do not care for beans cooked with beef, but these had a good balance between the two. It also had different varieties of beans that I appreciated. It was savory and filled me up. Lastly, the coleslaw was also good but nothing to write home about. My lunch left me satisfied without being stuffed, which is often an issue I have with barbecue. The only complaint I could see with this meal is portion sizes. While it was a comfortable serving size for myself, I could see others finding the amount of meat given too little for their money and stomachs. Even with the sides, I considered this meal to be lighter than most barbecue I have had. After this experience, I cannot wait for a chance to have a meal at the actual restaurant.

We laughed at an adorable cat, that has been hanging around the restaurant. A group of young guys were loving on the cat. It was nice to see. They gently shooed him off the table when their food arrived. Our food arrived and wow! The brisket was moist and tasty. Great fried green tomatoes and the grits were yummy. My mother's ribs were delish. She raved about the slaw and the greens. We intend to support this excellent mom and pop establishment. The folks there know what they are doing, and they do it with a smile and a heart!

I typically drink water with dinner, but when I'm home I can't resist a fountain Pepsi. Because in Florida, most everyone has Coke lol! We were served warm buttery bread with butter on the side. Yes please! The bread was soft and the butter melted when spread on a slice. The server advised the ribeye was one of the top sellers so that made my choice easy. It was served with a side salad which was crispy and fresh. I went with the house made ranch dressing, which I greatly enjoyed. When dinner arrived you could see the steam coming off the food from. When I cut into the ribeye it was cooked medium, just as requested and the juices were falling out all over the plate. My steak was tender, flavorful and delicious! The loaded baked potato, minus cheese, was also hot and tasty. Ashley took great care of us! She was friendly and attentive. I look forward to my next visit home so I can take my parents to dinner at The Train Station.
