Yeah, as I mentioned, it is a suburban pub, so I wouldn't expect too much from it, and of course there does happen to be a pokies room that, annoyingly, is right next to the bistro (a pet hate of mine), however, in the end, the pub turned out to not be all that bad, and in a way, I found that the service was actually pretty good, and atmosphere not too bad either.

Staff are polite and helpful. The bistros a little too close to the pokie machines for my liking but tonight it's no issue. I went for the steak and seafood special. My partner, the Parma. My steak was a little over cooked but the sauce was good. I liked the Parma. It's ok here.

As i tried to go in as usual the security guard has told me people have to leave there bags at the front counter or i cant go in. I pointed out that someone else had a backpack. I can eat there is no doubt about that but I enjoy eating reasonably nice food. Moral of this story, I feel it is time I make my family choose a different go to for family events! All the food is soggy and tastes the same, salty but the same. 80% of the food is deep fried crap and the other 20% is just plain upsetting! The slight saving grace is the dessert bar but really you are bound to get a few dessert selections right! I totally understand the appeal for families, kids play room, pay at the start, eat all you want. I personally would rather pay $30 for a nice meal without screaming kids running around. But hey they are doing something right as they are booked out pretty much all the time but the city snob in me thinks maybe this is the norm for food in the burbs?

The staff are very friendly polite and kind. There's a free breakfast buffet from 7 am and it was quite delicious. Eggs, meats, waffles, cereal, oatmeal and a nice variety of fruits and yoghurt as well. Across the street is a mall with a food court, Coles and Woolworths for groceries and even a movie theatre. The room itself is small and minimally furnished but everything worked well and the tv had many channels unlike some of the hotels I've stayed at by the famous wharf in Melbourne

Okay, it is certainly not one of the easiest pubs to get to, at least by public transport, so it is probably one that you should visit if you happen to live in the area. However, there is still some charm about it, despite it being your typical modern pub.

When I commented I learned that most staff have worked there a long time - Nathan's been there 10 years. That's always a good sign when employees are committed and happy. I was welcomed so beautifully although I'd flown in late. Kim made me a Cosmo without fuss. Nathan left reception to make me my second Cosmo and changed my room when he realised the stairs might be an issue with my baggage. The rooms are spotless and spacious 80s size with a corner spa in the bathroom. The housekeeping staff are the best. I felt like a princess - they folded my pjs and made everything sparkle each day, replaced bathroom products and checked with me that all was ok. Linen clean and crisp, good quality and the pillows fresh. I was really impressed. The buildings are interesting, built on a small hill close to the beach, shopping centre and all other amenities. Because it's on a rise, the lower floor is wheelchair friendly although when you look out the balcony it's a first floor view. The restaurant Taggart's has a good menu at reasonable prices and the wine list has some drinkable wines. What a great option if you have time in Frankston.

The hotel is considered boutique with contemporary decor, friendly staff, and a cafe downstairs. There's a gym and roof deck too. The rooms were clean and quiet. My phone wasn't working though so I had to go downstairs anytime I had a question. I would have liked more options for food in the rooms. You only had chips and popcorn to choose from and a few beverages in the mini fridge. It's close enough to walk to the water - I only wish I had more time here. They arranged for a driver to bring me to the airport which ended up being more economical than taking a taxi. Any my driver was fantastic! His name is Robert. Would recommend staying here!

I stayed for three days mid week and had to put up with chatter from the courtyard in the evenings as well as music playing which I was very unhappy with. It will not be relaxing. We also had to keep our balcony door closed lest we have smokers from the next room or courtyard deciding to light up. Also, $20 for WiFi access? What a joke. Just expect a slow internet connection instead. A few positive things to note- they have guest umbrellas and free bike hire and the trails are certainly worth exploring (I say this after previously living in the area, not because I used the bikes available). Underground parking is available for $20 per day, the room was clean and the location is good. I'd probably recommend this place if you intend to use the room just for sleep.
