After the service in the chapel on site, photographs were taken in the garden while guests retired to the bar. All this was on site. At the reception, the food was excellent, the arrangements went smoothly, and we had many favourable comments from guests about how enjoyable the reception was. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and Julia and Dearna made every effort to ensure the event went well. The accommodation was very satisfactory and our request for an early breakfast next day for 15 at 8:00 AM was met without difficulty. Because of guests coming from interstate we needed a number of cots and highchairs and these were available where and when we needed them.

Room was absolutely fifthly and the assistant manager is a real piece of work. The walls were…read moreliterally crawling at night time and we couldn't work out why. We had a small ant problem and bought some spray. Upon spraying the ants literally thousands (if not millions) of ants fell from the cracks between the cupboard and wall. We tried going to reception but noone was there so had to sleep in a filthy room. In the morning I went to the front desk to let them know we needed someone to look at it. The assistant manager told me the cleaners were done for today and that we should "sweep it up ourselves". She became argumentative and told me she doesn't like my attitude. I felt being in a filthy room ants between the walls warranted behind upset about. Fire the assistant manager. Otherwise the facilities were good for kids. It has a large jumping balloon, pool and BBQ area. The kids loved the kids club every morning and the staff member who runs that is absolutely amazing!

I come here a bit because its the most local pub to me…read more Its A-OK - your general local suburban pub. Not much of a 'vibe'. I come to watch the footy on the big screen (Go Hawks!). Its great for watching the game - usually get a few others with the same idea in mind. I have had a few meals - a few hit & misses however I have recently discovered their "Gourmet Lamb Burger". Its amazingly delicious: "Gourmet Lamb Burger - with a hint of spice layered in a toasted bun with dill pickles, lettuce, cheese, aioli served with chips" (See pics). Its served on this annoyingly narrow wooden board which makes it hard not to make a mess but the lamb pattie is simply amazing :) Uploading pics... burger - recommended!

I discovered this place when I jumped off the train to make my way to the Rivoli cinema, and…read morenotiticing a pub on the other side of the road I made a mental note to come here on my way back. Actually, it turned out that it really wasn't all that great - just a typical suburban pub with pokie machines and a sports bar. However, if you ignore the pokies room (which can be a little hard at times) the front bar isn't all that bad, and even has the occassional live music. As for me I'd probably come back here, but only because it is conveniently located across the road from the Camberwell Railway Station.

However, since it appears to have been refurbished, that was okay. Yet that was probably the only thing that I actually liked about it, because other than that this place was a pretty standard pub, with a rather limited selection of beers on tap as well. It would be okay if I lived in the area, but that is about it.
