The woman behind the counter could not have been nicer to fulfil my request. I would not have asked if there had been others in line so hubs was lucky this trip. They also had ready to eat items, stuffed cabbage (as my family calls pigs in the blanket), ribs, mac and cheese. Oh, I almost forgot, egg salad, chicken salad, tuna salad. For some reason going in Chief's feels like stopping by to see a family friend or something. Since this covid uncertainty it is always assuring to smell the fresh popped popcorn when entering, then the smell of fruits, baked chicken, bakery items to name but a few. I so believe they have yummy smell scents piped throughout the store. Their meats are above average and I am picky when it comes to meat. From presentation to prices, Chief's is the place to go. They are offering mobile shopping now, however I have not used it since we enjoy going in and shopping. All of their employees are helpful, safely wearing masks and I always see them sanitizing so it is a very safe, clean and proactive store.

There is a fresh case as well as frozen selections. Chicken, beef, pork, and seafood options are available. They have great Hawaiian brat patties. It's worth the drive.

They apparently are obviously successful, having spanned many decades of business which I think goes back to at least the '50's. There are pictures of people who sent autographed pictures with thanks for the delicious pickles. I remember one being President Dwight Eisenhower. I believe they had another one from Frank Sinatra. The store has a nice fridge full of sample pickled items to try before you buy which is helpful. We ordered many items and happy with them all, both sweet, mild and hot. You can see the factory through a large window and there are tours which would have been cool, I'm sure. I think it was listed as the #1 or 2 attraction in the area which is why we checked it out.
