I was going to order them but they were way more expensive on line. I even had stores to tell me they had them and put them back with my name on the box so I could come and pick them up. When I get there, guess what? Not the right shoe, if they even had put back anything. A few of them didn't even do what they said and was RUDE as ever. So, I started going back and looking at stores a little bit further out and that's where I came to RACK ROOM IN HICKORY. I called up and spoke with Larry and he looked up the shoe in the computer and then held on the phone with me to go look on the shelf to make sure they had it and it was the right size and color. I was coming from out of town to pick them up so he even took them to the front desk and put my name on it so there would be no problems when I got there. I called back this morning just to be sure since I have had a time finding these, and I spoke with Sarah and she assured me the tennis shoes were there and waiting. At no time, neither Larry or Sarah was ever short, rude or acted like it was a bother. They both were very pleasant and very nice to work with. The employee's here show professionalism and sincerity in helping the customer. That is rare at this day and time. So, I would like to say THANK YOU ( Larry and Sarah) I really appreciate it. I would most definitely recommend RACK ROOM IN HICKORY!

I used to work in a boot repair shop many decades ago that also sold boots. The first young lady said they didn't have any, but pointed to a table and said maybe those. She the. Walked away and started chatting with another young saleswoman. I kept looking and another woman came up. I'm so sorry I don't recall her name, I believe it started with a "J". She listened with eye contact to what I was looking for and brought out a pair of Keens. I ended up buying two types, one with steel toes. She would get five stars! My partner whose company goes to Catawba Shoe Store is going to tell all her employees to make sure to find the same woman. Although the sales people don't work on commission, she is the one who will be recommended. My partner has for years heard complaints about the manager and the service or lack there of...perhaps if I learn her name, I will edit. My advice, wear the type of socks you always wear and try the shoes/boots on first before taking them out of the store. I did try a couple other brands, but the Keens fit perfect and provide a better arch support. Don't go towards the young ladies, find the one in her 30's. You want a proper fitting work boot, not a date. To the guy who knowingly purchased a full size smaller and complained about the fit and had experience selling boots....really dude? I could see maybe a half size smaller, but a full size? Next time, wear your own socks...they do have those thin socks in the box to try on shoes by the benches. Who wears that thin of a sock...women who wear nylons...

Upon returning to the store, I encountered a manager whose demeanor I found to be unprofessional and who declined to process my return. My requests for the owner's contact information were not fulfilled; instead, I was provided with the business card of the manager with whom I was engaged in a dispute. While the initial purchase process was seamless, the return experience has been exceptionally challenging. The shoes remain in new condition, having only been tried on in-store prior to purchase. My desire for a refund stems from thediscovered defect. As the store did not have an identical replacement in stock, and given the unsatisfactory customer service I received, I am not seeking an exchange but rather a full refund. The manager in question has consistently refused to facilitate the return of these new shoes. I find this level of customer service unacceptable and unprecedented in my retail experiences. I have attempted to resolve this matter directly with the store, but the continued presence of the same manager has prevented a resolution. I possess the original receipt, photographic evidence of the shoes, and any other necessary documentation to process a full refund. Due to this experience on June 21st, I will no longer be a patron of your establishment. I am profoundly dissatisfied with the treatment I received i have made several attempts to contact the store as well as email with proof that the shoes have not been worn, and that there is a defect with the product they sold me leaving me no choice but to report them to the BBB and dispute the charge with my card

Worst customer service I've ever received. A week later and I'm still stuck with 2 different sized shoes. Save your money and sanity and just shop elsewhere.
