Today I am at the Brooklyn location and even with it's small space inside , I was still able to find a good selection of stuff for my cuzs wife's birthday. Prices are reasonable, styles are modern and the variety will satisfy many different personalities when it comes to clothing . Got a few dresses and matching tops in the professional business attire mode which the birthday girl will appreciate for work and checkout was quick and painless to my wallet . I needed to buy a gift card as I was looking at the gif cards the cashier comes over and says you need an ID to buy those which I found odd since I had not even said how I was paying, she continues to tell me I need an ID, Finally I pull out my ID and my Carters Credit Card and AFTER I swiped my card she said no you can't use the Carters card.. I found that odd.. So I walked out the store and I called the 800 number. Where it was stated to me that YES I can buy a gift card with my credit card and NO I don't need to show ID..I then proceeded to go back to the store to double check that i wasn't charged for the gift card since I had swiped my card. The cashier said well when you get your statement you will see if you got charge.. I told her absolutely not she was going to check right there and right now and I also informed them at that moment that was still on the phone with 800 and the tone changed quickl. I ended up going to another Carters with again ID and Card in hand and they sold me the gift card. I dont know if it was that I didn't look like them or maybe they taught that I didn't work whatever it was I felt profiled by this women at the Carters on Myrtle Avenue in Ridgewood NY
