From the moment we walked towards the restaurant the owner said hello and greeted us, the staff were very friendly and helped with menus and the specials of the day. Service is quite fast and the selection of food is wide and the wine list is well thought out, we had several meals and everyone was very impressed with the food, taste and presentation. I has the Duck Raghu and I was impressed with the taste, my partner had a pizza which smelt fantastic from the other end of the table, all the other meals were very good. Each meal came out one at a time, this is a bit different to other places but I feel that this is the case because each meal is made and plated up fresh the moment it leaves the kitchen. There is also a good selection of cakes here and coffee is quite good too, if you are in the area and feel like good Italian I would highly recommend Anthonys.

Their pasta is lovely and usually what I get and their coffee is always a winner. They are now open for breakfast which makes them even better! Location wise, it's not the greatest, being on the corner is Sudholz and Lower Portrush but their is generally ample parking unless the tile centre is having a car park sale!! All in all, a winning cafe which I highly recommend. It's nice to have something like this that's local and doesn't require a trip into town. Lastly, they are quite kid friendly and will do their best to accommodate strollers. There are several high chairs available.

I'm clearly not Italian but I have this thing where I like to pretend I am one of their people…read more Maybe its the anglo-sixth gen Aussie in me that is looking for some cultural substance in her life or the fact their philosophy on life=drinking, eating and..well... It was upon stepping into this modest looking deli with fluro lighting, 50s vinyl chairs and plastic tables, random cooking equipment scattered around and big, black and white pictures of beautiful Italians with "I love Napoli" written on them hanging on the wall that I felt like I had returned to a pizza shop from the mother land. Walk out through the kitchen to toilet at the back of the shop and you might trip on a bag of pizza flour on way but don't worry, the lino floors will protect your fall. Enough about the interior, that doesn't really matter. In traditional fashion, the star of the show is the hand made blackened pizza oven sitting in the middle of the shop serving up damn good WOG Pizza. We thought we'd be modest an just order one 12 inch Frutti di Mare (seafood) and a bottle of wine to share (funnily enough sipped out of those promo wine cups that you collect from various wine events and functions over the years). But after devouring this crispy based, sweet tomato sauce covered, melt in your mouth seafood pizza we decided we couldn't stop at one. The Truff Truff was next - a creamy, cheesy base of truffle oil, cheese, dried mediterranean herbs and more cheese. Forget manners, there's no forks or plates here and the owner really couldn't care less if you came in or not. He does what he loves and I think even if there were no customers in store he would be happy. The girls on the floor are friendly but really, who needs to make small talk when all you want to do is finish off 2 large pizzas in 30 minutes and then roll home?

(But ask for a salad and they'll make you one). Great beers and Italian wines (by the bottle only but you can take the rest home). This wonderful simple and charming little gem serves up fantastic wood oven pizzas and isn't trying to do anything else. Not salty or oily, with a very light airy wood oven crust topped with buffalo Di mozarella, prosciutto or whatever you like from the menu. And randomly in the back streets of Campbelltown (which isn't so bad not being on a main road as thru have a cool outdoor area out the front).

My introduction to Belmondo was on what seemed to be a hugely busy Friday night, a table of sixteen…read moreor so boisterous blokes right next to our table of four, and the place packed wall to wall with diners. Orders were efficiently taken, and food was delivered promptly, a testament to a crew of people who obviously work together as a team extremely well. Now, to divulge the secret we found here, in dozens of Italian restaurants all round Adelaide, my wife and I have been searching for a perfect garlic pizza bread - an equal to an absolute favourite we had on the Gold Coast, which was a half hour drive from home and a regular visit just for the one delicacy. Up until now, it's been a thirteen year search, but here, at Belmondo, we found a Garlic pizza to equal the very best - crisp but not brittle pizza bread, lashings of garlic and salt, and just enough oil to bring the whole thing to life on your taste buds - truly, you owe it to yourself to sample this entree, it's the standard for other places to catch. The menu is varied, offering something for everyone. I struggled hugely to bring my choices down from 'one of everything', finally settling on their gnocchi, as it's one dish I struggle with to make a satisfying dish of, myself. My wife went with the atlantic salmon, which has been her current fave for some time - and my oldest daughter (12) went with a nice simple Spaghetti with Meatballs. The gnocchi was divine, the salmon was perfection on a plate, and the spaghetti was just gorgeous, I'd have been happy with it myself, great flavours, generous, melt in your mouth meatballs - we were all hugely impressed. Impressed enough to come back the next night to get a takeaway pizza and another garlic pizza bread. Congrats to the owner - several national awards for steaks and other meals adorn the walls, and restaurant is a testimony to what can be achieved with good ingredients and care when preparing them. Tucked away off Grand Junction Rd in Holden Hill, Belmondo is proof that you don't need to travel into the CBD to experience some truly delightful food. Lunch is Fridays only - and it's very much recommended to book ahead - we haven't been there on a night that's not wall to wall busy.

Look at the fishies…read more.. Anyway once you get past the cool display out the front, the place and food is pretty great as well. Perched upon a small hill on North East Road at the intersection of Grand Junction, the location is perfect and you always notice the restaurant from either side of the road as you drive past. Inside is furnished very nice, with lots of large tables for groups, benches and dark wooden tones. The food is a variety of different Asian flavours with stir fry's, curries, entrees, some Indian influences and noodle bowl dishes. They also have a lunch menu which is really cheap and tastes amazing! I honestly don't go here that often, even though it is close to home. But I don't really eat Asian in restaurant, I usually get it takeaway. But now that I am writing this it's getting me in the mood for curry puffs and Thai basil chicken..

After deciding to eat in for dinner one time, I wasn't disappointed in the food served in the restaurant either. At lunch time they offer noodle specials which are good value and quite decent serves (you sit on a long communal table). The only slight drawbacks I have is that my friend LOVED a noodle dish, and we went there for dinner, and couldn't get served that same noodle dish in the restaurant. It's just not allowed apparently, which I find a bit silly. She was willing to pay more as well! Also, mixed reports around the service which at times can be overwhelming, and other times underwhelming. Not withstanding these points, the food is really delicious and fresh. My pick for tasty lunches, delicious dinners and takeaway that's a cut above the rest in this area.

We were brought one or two pizzas at a time, the kids were starving, then a plate of pasta that would have been a plate for one person, the food was pretty average, nothing to rave about. The time it took out, was way too long! We ended up there for two hours, just because there wasnt enough to eat, so we left and went to another restaurant to have a wonderful meal - all 10 of us!

After anticipating the opening of this restaurant we were not let down. For a suburban pizzeria,…read morethe vibe and design was a head above other local pizzerias and the atmosphere was pumping, yet it didn't feel crowded or rushed. We were served by a great waitress who was on top of things and new what she was talking about, although the other waitress who seated us seemed rather vague. The food was above the standard of other local pizzerias, yet I felt that they were a bit too heavy on the cheese. Everything was reasonably priced, and being right around the corner, it's convenience has meant that we have been able to walk over for desert on occasion or order a pizza and collect it without too much hassle. It's a joy having such an inviting, friendly restaurant so close to home. It is certainly not the best pizza you can get in Adelaide, but it has raised the bar on what the standard is around Magill, and it's convenience makes it special.
