History has thrown up countless epic rivalries over time. PC versus Mac. Sega versus Nintendo. Ali versus Frazier. Prost versus Senna. The list is endless. However, all of these examples pale in comparison to the rivalry to end all rivalries. On the veritable battle ground of Bristol Road South, in the area of Northfield, lie two takeaways bound by destiny, yet fated never to become one. Tasty Pizza is reviewed elsewhere; this is the review for the even more imaginatively named 'Chicken Pizza'. The comparisons are clear, as the two establishments have clearly been made from a similar template, but Chicken Pizza seems determined to undercut its spiritual brother, as most meal deals are slightly cheaper here (a double burger with chips and drink is £4.50 at Tasty, £3.99 at Chicken). Being so similar and so close geographically, it's likely that this sparring over prices will continue, so keep your eyes peeled for new deals. The food, like its rivals, is fairly standard takeaway fare, not particularly wonderful but not bad. Worth a visit, if only to say 'I was there' at such a historic battleground as the war rages - it's one to tell the grandkids about. read more
