We had a party of ten so i called ahead to reserve a table and the hostess was so helpful and very sweet. When i arrived 15 minutes before our scheduled time they already had the table ready for us. We were greeted right away by the hostess with a very big smile on her face and sweet demeanor. Our server was Brielle and she was AMAZING! Our glasses were never empty, our food was hot and extremely tasty. The wings and the sauces Brielle recommended were spot on and everyone raved about their food. The manager Chris came right over and was such a sweet guy. He interacted with my son and our entire family. When we were done with our meal they brought out the biggest piece of chocolate cake for my son and kids to enjoy on the house. This was such a wonderful experience and they have made lifetime customers out of us all. We will continue to come back for great customer service, delicious food and a stellar environment that families can all enjoy together. She presented us with their complimentary signature biscuits with cinnamon butter and their delicious coleslaw. My wife got her catfish sandwich southern fried along with the same sweet potato fries I had ordered. Our friends ordered their mahi-mahi with fries and shrimp and scallops linguine with Alfredo sauce. Madison came back shortly with our appetizers. My wife was the only one of our group that hadn't tried alligator before. She was very surprised, commenting that it tasted like chicken. Ha Ha! Both appetizers were excellent. We each chose a different fish dish from their lunch menu. Since they are named "catfish" country, I decided to get that. My husband ordered the cod. We chose the fish to be fried -- and they were lightly battered pieces and perfectly cooked. Each basket came with two sides. I got green beans and a baked potato. He had collards and cheesy grits. We both loved our fish choices. The only thing that I didn't care for were the green beans -- more like pole beans and peppery southern style (as in mushy). He thought his collards and grits were wonderful. I think we've found a new favorite place to stop mid-state.

I can't say the same for the food experience today. The mozzarella sticks tasted very plain and the marinara tasted like it was from one of those microwave frozen marinaras. It was just disgusting. I ordered the wings which the flavor was nice, but was semi-disappointed because I got 6 drums and 2 flats. Flats are better, but I just would assume I'd get at least 4 and 4. The fries were okay, not really very hot though. My wife got the chicken Philly with onion petals. She said the chicken Philly was okay and would probably get it again, but the onion petals were terrible. She said while they had a nice seasoning on the outside, more than half of them were still raw and crunchy (not from the batter), and luke warm to cold. The hostess was very friendly and loved our baby. The server, Benji, was great. He checked on us and refilled us without asking.
