Sooo....I've only been here once, but it's my recommendation that you find wherever their food truck is going to be and drive there to enjoy. Go to their Facebook page @chicknnooga to find where they are.
Me and a friend drove 20 minutes to try it and it was definitely worth it. I got the chicken sandwich with nooga sauce and my friend got the yard bird.
We were the first to arrive so there was no wait. It took several minutes to get our food, which is a PLUS for me because I know it was cooked to order. We sat in the car in the parking lot and ate because we couldn't wait after trying a bite. It was piping hot, of course, but it was worth burning off a taste bud or two.
I was expecting to be disappointed with 1 or 2 chicken strips on the sandwich, but there were 4 big pieces on it. And it was a simple sandwich: toasted brioche, pickles on the side (but of course I put 'em on the sandwich), a slice of melted cheese. The nooga sauce is good but it was a bit rich, so I didn't add it to my sandwich since it didn't need it.
My waffle fries were okay; I was a little disappointed because I didn't like the batter that was on them, but the sandwich was so good, I wasn't mad about it.
After my friend took a bite of her yard bird, she left the car and applauded lol So yes, she liked it. She said the tots were crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside, the sauces were delicious, the chicken was tender and juicy. She enjoyed every bite of it.
We met a few customers there who said they drive to wherever chick-n-nooga is to get their food. And now I understand why. read more
