I honestly have to admit that this Chick-fil-A gets the order correct every time. They also include every item with your meal, i.e., forks, dressing, sauces, napkins, etc. the food is constantly fresh. I am usually ordering either the Cobb salad crispy chicken with avocado, lime dressing, or the chicken strips. I never leave without the six chocolate chip cookies which are absolutely fantastic and are probably becoming a cult favorite. I ordered the chicken Cobb salad with a medium mac & cheese and a bag of six cookies and my bill was $25 and change although this is a little pricier fora fast food restaurant, I really think the quality is there as well as the service and this is what makes me able to justify the purchase. A person sitting across from me at another table pointed out to at least 3 different employees, one of whom was a manager, that there was something sticky underneath his table. He waited at least 5 - 10 minutes, and when no one showed up to clean it up, he got up and got some napkins and cleaned it up himself. I told him I'd be damned if I would clean it up, that's the businesses job to do it. He just looked at me and said "that's retail for you." I would have either moved to another table or cancelled my order and left. This was my first, and will be my last visit to the Hazlet location. I don't eat fast food often, but I had to see what the hype was all about. I wanted to order on the inside because the line was so long. They wouldn't let you come inside because of "Covid" which is ridiculous! You couldn't even look at the menu at the window because the workers would take your order before you get there. It was my first time ever going to a Chick-fil-a so I told the guy I needed to see a menu before I ordered. The guy pulls out a menu, but wouldn't let me touch it because of "Covid" another turn off! I asked him which was the most popular sandwich, and I ordered that with size large waffle fries. The line was very long, but it moved quickly. I received my order, but was disappointed there was no sauce for my sandwich in my bag! As a first time customer I didn't know you had to request a sauce prior. I thought the chicken sandwich was good. The chicken was juicy and had a clean taste versus other fast food places. I wish the cheese would of been melted that was on my deluxe sandwich. It probably could of been 4 stars if it had a sauce on it. Also I was very turned off with these insane Covid rules. The waffle fries were good, but I only received 8 of them in my size large order! Hazlet FSR #03223. This is the second day in a row, I have experienced the same issue. I ordered an 8 piece chicken nuggets that were not hot and fresh. I also ordered, a large order of waffle fries. The container was half filled with waffle fries and the majority of the waffle fries, were under-cooked and greasy. Also, I asked for an additional Chick-fil-A sauce and was told that there was a Chick-fil-A sauce shortage, so I could only have one. It was not enough for my order. I assume it was a manager, out in the parking lot. He was yelling at his staff to keep the cars moving, on the drive through line. He was insisting that I constantly move my car up on the line. Note: this was while I was talking to the young man that was assisting me, who was getting very nervous. Something worse than waiting on a long line, is waiting on a long line, which I did and the quality of the food, being unsatisfactory. I wouldn't mind waiting on the long line, it happens. What I do mind, is paying a high price, for poor quality food. This is not what I am accustomed to, for the many loyal years, as a Chik-Fil-A Customer. This may be a new franchise owner, that must need some additional coaching on ordering practices, managerial skills and food quality importance. Visited my hometown from Boston and noticed a new Chick-fil-A! I'm told this location is maybe a month or so old, so it seems they are still figuring out the kinks. The wait around dinner was long and there was no option for online ordering/pick up. It was strange that as we rolled up there were several completed orders for people further back in the line but due to the single drive through queue, no one could pick it up. I imagine there has to be a better way to distribute the smaller orders, especially as most of the staff is outside, and reduce the line. We ordered two sandwiches and three chicken strips, they got the order wrong and we ended up waiting (from start to end) around 45 minutes. Although sandwiches themselves were very good, it wasn't worth the wait with the miscues. I'm sure it'll get better so maybe I'll give it a try next year. read more

I've been a long time fan of Chick-fil-A, and expected that the new Hazlet location would be as good as any other Chick-fil-A. I completely understand how a new franchise could have troubles right after opening, but you'd hope that management would put processes in place to fix the issues and get the place working correctly in a few weeks. It's been a rough start for them. In the two months since they've opened, I've yet to have an order come out correctly. When you place the order, they read it back correctly, then you pull up to someone who hands you a receipt, I check it, and it's correct, but when you pull up to the window to get your food, all bets are off. There's a complete and utter disregard for getting the order right at the window. Expect smaller soda sizes, the wrong soda (you'll notice this one at home), missing sauce, missing fries/sandwiches, the wrong sandwich, etc. Don't pull away until you check everything. If they make you pull up behind the theater - don't let them hand you the wrong thing and run off which they like to do. My first time here was a day or two after they opened - I met the owner who was directing the flow of cars around the back of the theater - he seemed like a really nice guy and wished him the best with this franchise. I moved to the area july 2020 and I used to drive to Woodbridge Chick Fil A. That was my place, but when Hazlet opened april 2021 i was ecstatic! The staff know me here now. Been going 1-3 times a week for over a year now. I have NEVER had a problem. My order has never been wrong and I almost always do mobile orders. Sometimes the drive thru line takes a bit of time, so now I just do carryout and have ZERO issues. Food is always fresh, tastes great and the staff are nice and friendly. inside is always clean. Didn't pay attention to me at mobile order pick up area. Really long wait when it wasn't even busy. Rude staff and manager. Gave me three incorrect meals and no sauces. I called customer service after I realized my food was wrong bc I was an hour away at that point and couldn't go back and the customer service rep said the store would be reaching out to me about a refund. It's been a week. Never heard anything never got a refund. What a waste of $30. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!! It's a mess and literally the worst. I would give zero stars if possible. Numerous attempts at ordering online resulted in incorrect and incomplete orders. Clearly there is no attention to detail for mobile orders. Finally after several wrong orders a manager offered us 3 gift cards to redeem for free ice cream at our next visit. At the next visit we went inside to order. The gift cards that were previously issued to us as compensation for errors had NO VALUE. The "FOH Supervisor", Becky, rudely told us there was nothing she could do for us and then shooed us away. When our meal came there were no sauces. I walked up to the counter and asked for sauce. The employee pleasantly went to retrieve the sauce until she was reprimanded by Becky for giving away too much sauce. (I only asked for 2 packets for 4 people to split, but for some reason the employee grabbed 6 sauce packets). Becky challenged my request for sauce by demanding to know if I had already received some (I had not). After the poor customer service by the supervisor, Becky, and her nickel & dime-ing over sauce and refusing to correct a previous error we will never patronize the establish again. It doesn't seem that Becky is suited for a "front of house" role in which customer service skills are a top requirement.
