Heading out from Jersey to Pennsylvania I stopped into this Chick-fil-A for a quick bite to eat. It's situated in a small strip mall alongside some other eateries and since it's the last exit or first depending on which way you're headed, it's definitely worth checking out.   My timing must've been perfect because while I had a hankering for a Spicy Southwestern Salad they also gave me a Breakfast Meal for FREE because they just stopped preparing Breakfast and had some leftovers. Ah HELLO?? Everybody knows the best kind of YUMMMMERS is FREE YUMMMMERS!! and you can't ever go wrong with that. Needless to say I found the Service here to be extremely friendly and you can't ever go wrong that either.    Anyway long story short after paying for my Salad and graciously accepting my Breakfast I proceeded on down the highway with a Full Belly and a Smile on my face. Well...I'm just dumbfounded right now. I walked up to the counter at 7:57 AM. An older red-head lady dragged her feet to inform me that she couldn't take my order because they didnt open until 8:00 AM and the kitchen wasn't ready. She didn't politely ask for me to wait another 3 minutes or make an attempt to secure me as a customer. Felt more like she was happy to not have to work for 3 paltry minutes. I came in after working 14 hours as a state worker. The boy that took my order, was talking with a customer about vailsburg and where they used to live at which was about 25 minutes. Then the guy said he gave him a 100.00 bill and the boy didn't give him all of his correct money. When it was my turn to order, my chicken sandwich was cold and the fries were cold. Just like other reviewers have previously reported, this is a separately licensed Chick-fil-A location. Do yourself a favor and avoid this specific location. Drive a little bit further, and there are other locations at Bartonsville PA, Morris Plains NJ or Wayne NJ off I-80. I should have known something was wrong when I arrived at 12:15 PM and there was no one waiting on line to place orders or pick up. I even joked with the staff that every other Chick-fil-A has long lines but no one is here. Was served room temperature nuggets and fries at a higher price than traditional Chick-fil-A locations. This place takes ten years to give you your food even though we saw that it was ready. We went to the drive through and saw like 15 workers making food even though there was one other car and no one inside. Our drinks were on the window just sitting there and they didn't even acknowledge us either to even say hello or one moment please. Terrible service. We sat there for around ten minutes while we saw our food on the counter while all the workers were just sitting there chatting away not even looking our direction. Terrible customer service. Always my last stop when heading to Pennsylvania. The chicken is always fresh and my fries which I LOVE are always hot and fresh. Some times the line is long but it moves pretty fast. Brand new location. Things were in a tizzy when I visited via drive through. They got my order wrong, didn't have tea, the lemonade had seeds in it and there was nothing but a piece of chicken and two pickle slices on my sandwich. Haha! My experiences at other chick-fil-a have been great but this was not so much. It was during covid so only the drive thru was available. It took about 30 minutes in line to place an order and the mobile app didn't recognize this as a location. There was one staff outside manually taking orders but missed our car when it was our turn. We ordered at the first window and then picked up the food at the next. I was expecting a crispy spicy chicken sandwich but instead it was a sad soggy piece of chicken meshed between two pieces of untoasted bread. This was the worst dining out experience I've had in quite some time. I'm not a complainer typically and the majority of my Yelp! reviews are positive - but: This place totally gives Chick-Fil-A a bad name and does no service to its amazing reputation everywhere else. It was only after we learned this "nugget of information," (I crack myself up ) - and then proceeded to try to order more food that she finally says - "oh and we are also out of: salads of all kinds, ice cream, milkshakes, fruit cups and diet lemonade." I was so mad - like wtf!? So you're telling me all you've got at this point are waffle fries and sandwiches? How does this even happen!? The draw of Chick-Fil-A for me is that I can have grilled nuggets and not feel too terrible about getting waffle fries because I'm being mindfully healthy and can manage these calories. This place ruined everything, how are you out of every healthier option!? I had a sandwich, it was meh - looked like it was thrown together. So I have been here twice for work and this is the last time ! I try to not judge solely on first time but ... The first time the chicken sandwich was cold and soggy and suppose to be a hot sandwich . I go to this location pretty often, I always receive great service and consistent quality of food that I enjoy. As of late I am seeing a lot of other reviewers complain about varying complications with this location. People need to realize that this isn't some kind of magic restaurant and also need to realize the amount of traffic this area gets. You have PA, NY and NJ drivers coming through here every day, to expect this location to not be busy is ridiculous. Even more so if it's around lunch hours.
