I love that I finally have a fast food chain to go to in Champaign that DOES NOT give me the ick! I went here yesterday for the first time ever and was so shocked at how clean everything was. The tables did look like they could have used a wipe but it was still mostly clean. The service was amazing! Everyone was very friendly and sticking true to the Chick-Fil-A code. I honestly do not receive good service ever from chains in Champaign so this was a first! The food was good quality and just what I expected from a Chick-Fil-A. While we were eating, we were asked if we needed anything and that was a nice gesture. I think the best part is that there is so much staff working that they aren't really lacking in any area. Drive Thru does look busy though but so many people prefer takeaway these days so that's hard to manage. My wife and I drove 45 minutes to eat at the Champaign Illinois Chi Fil A. We waited 20 minutes on our food with it not coming yet. We asked a young lady to check on it and she came back and said they were working on it. We waited until a half hour passed then asked a manager where our food was because folks that came after us were half way through eating their food and we still hadn't gotten ours. He came back and said we had slipped through the cracks and they are now making it if we would like it. I asked to be refunded and left my wife to receive the refund as I was mad and hungry and went to the car. My wife comes to the car with two cards stating a free shake for the inconvenience! Wow! She also said our food showed up and instead of letting us have it they took it back! First was the girl lying about "they are working on it"? My boyfriend and I went through the drive thru, I ordered my meal and an extra side of large fries for him. We get our food and realize it's missing the extra fry. No problem I'll turn around and run inside real quick with the receipt. As I walk in, right away the 3 workers up front were very rude. I just asked for the extra for my extra fry and I would've been on my way, no problem, I make mistakes at my job, it happens. But the worker looked at me, scoffed, laughed with his friends and gave me a small fry with maybe 4 fries in it. I show him the receipt again and said hey I did order a large fry I'm sorry, can I get what I paid for though. The worker got aggravated at me, all workers are now pointing at me in disgust, and I feel like I did something wrong. The moment we entered the restaurant we noticed a weird vibe coming from every employee. They were not polite, just blunt, no smiles, no reply of " My Pleasure " when we said "thank you" after ordering. Three out of the four empty booths were filthy. The girl cleaning tables kept cleaning off the clean tables but totally ignored the filthy booths. Our food was brought to us with a frown as she snatched up the green table marker and walked away. On our way out we stopped to get a drink refill to watch one employee walk past us without even acknowledging us. The food is good. However, they need to do better with their online delivery orders. For example, GrubHub lists all the ingredients that a sandwich is supposed to come with. There have been multiple instances where my sandwich is missing tomatoes, lettuce and pickles. I make sure that my order is correct before placing it and that I haven't accidentally removed anything. There have also been instances where I've opened my bag and seen tomatoes & pickles thrown carelessly into the bag, like an afterthought. Not to mention, you can only order through GrubHub and all the additional fees can turn a $10 meal into a $30 dollar purchase. read more

Me and my girlfriend got to Chick-fil-A and waited in line before breakfast closed and when we got to the counter it was 10:31 I tried to explain to the guy I had the items in my checkout for my app and when I tried to pay for it it wouldn't let me. They admitted that they did not ask for names when people come in for delivery pick up. They called the girl who drove away with my order to bring it back, but at this point my order had already been taken out of the restaurant and opened. Chick-fil-A did not offer any discount, concession, or amenity to me, while the girl who was gIven my order left with free food. The management there is a joke, the manager at Chick-fil-A today had been my subordinate at a my previous job; absolutely not qualified in my opinion. This last time I waited 20 minutes in the drive through which is expected, and ordered an original sandwich, 2 large fries, a buffalo and a chick-fil-a sauce. Sandwich was probably half the size it should be, soggy and cold. Fries were also soggy and half full, sauces were missing. I complained and they sent me a free sandwich which is ok but also not nearly enough since they ripped me off on the entire order. Love the location, and their service. It's popular, and always busy - and they hustle to serve. Our order at the drive-through has been accurate 100% of the time. When I get home and open our sacks of food, they are well prepared and as we ordered. They have curbside and a 2-lane drive thru (indoor seating paused due to COVID19) with as many as 4-6 outside attendants at drive-thru lanes taking food orders with electronic notebooks to speed service at peak times during the day/evening. I so miss when we could eat indoors in their eclectic dining area. You see students and families, which makes for a lovely dining atmosphere. The food at chick-fil-a is great, but when it comes down to the service it is terrible due to the fact that the lines are massive. Anytime I drive by that location there is always a line, it's ridiculous. Besides for that, I decided to wait because I was craving great chicken, but when I got home with my order I realized there was no chicken in my sandwich. I called the restaurant and they said that I had to come back to get a new one that same day, which happened to be during dinner time when lines are the longest.
