Wetherspoon-style menu', except that the one at The Bank is more substantial in terms of diversity, quality and quantity. Very busy ("Please wait to be seated") but good service and good food. Being a converted bank, they have kept the ancient timber panelling, which gives it a certain charm. A very nice place to go for lunch if you are hungry and don't care about the calories. We had the mezze platter of grilled veggies + domades, along with hummus and the most delicious tiziki dip I have ever had. When our broad beans came with a bit of chorizo , instead of vegetarian , the chef came over and apologized and took it off the bill immediately. We would have eaten it anyway without complaint as the paella also had chorizo and chicken. Really impressed with this little spot !!! Can't really tell the punters to grow up thoughthey were middle aged. It is a shame that this will be the overriding impression that I take away from this proper local's pub (and will maybe lead me to avoid the pub if I am back in town) because the St Austell Proper Job was in good nick, the barmaid was friendly and the bar looks nice too (I am a sucker for coloured lights)
