However you are wondering why 3 stars? My husband and I are intermediate riders and are used to certain rules. These include but are not limited to: helmets, trail leaders (bosses) take the lead, horses know exactly where to step and whom to follow, weight limits, etc. While not wearing a helmet was refreshing as a seasoned rider, usually there are helmets available and required (absolutely needed for a newbie). Maybe Covid is why but I don't think so. The trail boss was young and didn't have much control over the animals. My husband's horse was beautiful and we found out he may be a foundational horse, however he liked running people into the trees. My husband is a strapping 6'7" and despite tugging him to stop, he kept it up! The reins are really short and that seemed to be a problem for both horses. Only my saddle had a horn to hold on to. That would definitely be an issue for a new rider! I would suggest longer reins when trail riding and the shorter when teaching or pony riding. We really enjoyed our ride even if it was only in a large circle, again and again. Still great for the money and experienced riders but not nubes.

For a school trip on June 3, I was there as a chaperone for my kids.. well later on in the day, there was this one lifeguard. not sure of her name but she wore glasses and had blonde hair, skinny and tall. This lifeguard is a monster! She should be fired. First off, she wasn't doing her job and said to the children "yo, stop splashing me, go move somewhere else" in a rude tone acting like getting wet isn't part of her job. Second there were kids almost drowning and she did nothing about it, instead she yelled at kids for sitting on the ledge of the pool and when my daughter responded with just an "okay", she flipped out and told her to get out of the pool for giving an attitude, then when my daughter and her friends were passing by, she called them fat acting like that won't have an impact on their self image.. how could a worker be like that? How horrible.. not only that but the place is dirty and infested with bugs, there were bugs flying all over and in the bathroom there were roaches.. they don't clean at all and the curtains were easy to see in.. I don't recommend going here for just that reason, but the other workers were nice, just not that bimbo lifeguard not doing her job..

One of the greatest luxuries of this place is the fact that there is no height restrictions, so no child is turned away. There is not an unhappy child due to the park. They spare no expense to make sure that every child is made happy. Of course some of these children look like adults but act like children because that's what this part brings out in people. They've made every opportunity they can to make sure that they try to update the place as much as possible. This has to be the best money spent for my family in many years. Not surprising is the fact that my grandchildren had passed out from exhaustion from playing so heavily and so happily. I am so grateful to this park and its staff offering such Joy to families. Course: there are no fairways. The grass (where there was grass) is 100% crab grass. The fairways are not cut and there is no difference between rough and fairway. Most of the course was actually just Sand. The golf carts? A joke. I had to switch 3 different times and finally settled on a cart which wheels were almost falling off (that was best option. Cigarettes, trash, dip, and graffiti were all over the carts. Almost no signage to get you hole to hole and the only markers are trash cans with painted tee box numbers. I should have suspected when the course said THERE ARE NO TEE TIMES. And is cash only more or less. What a joke. Customer Service: After playing 18 holes in the worst conditions ever with no complaint. Spending tons of money in the "clubhouse" because of minimum on credit purchases, we were accosted by the grounds keeper. We simply forgot a pitching wedge on the 18th green, when we went back to get it the greens keeper DROVE out onto the course in a truck to yell/curse at us demanding we wait for someone to turn my club in. We promptly got the club and left. Regardless of skill level I would not recommend this course to anyone. For a cheap option for new golfers, The FDR course in Philadelphia has similar rates and is a much better option.

Went here for a swim with my friend for the second time and found the locker room to be clean, good water pressure in the shower, and extra googles in the bin when I forgot to bring my own. The chlorine they use is a bit stronger than I'm used to, not in the smelly kind of way, but in that it really dries out the face. I went home and slathered lotion on and it burned. My friend has a baby and they offer daycare here while you work out for $1 an hour. You can't beat that!

We caught bushels of crabs through the years here. The best thing about Beaver Dam Boat rentals is that you can make a lot of good memories crabbing with your family. The staff here was top notch. They always made us feel like family. I also remember the shared company for crabbing was Hollywood Beach. Thank you for all the good memories through the years.
