Stopped by a few times and they have a great selection of games and some mini-figures for Warhammer, etc. It looks like the host games which is cool. The prices seem pretty reasonable, definitely suggest stopping by even if you just browse.

Awesome selection, standard pricing. Lots of game variations! Great, friendly staff! Lots of opportunities for game play, painting classes, etc. Loads of games (huge wall to the ceiling) with board games to try before you buy.

A go-to place for board/war/card/roleplaying games. Amazing choice (if you can't find something in the main area they also have some stock in the basement and game room). Dice Dojo always has the latest releases and collector editions as well as classic games. The only downside is that its layout is very cramped and when there are many people in the shop it's hard to navigate through aisles.

BYOB and endless games to choose from. This place is a gem! Almost a little overwhelming with the amount of choices... we went with classic Yahtzee but you could easily spend all day in there trying new games.

Huge selection of games that one can play for free. Like most places in Chicago, it's a BYOB. I am new to boardgaming and I love this place. There's tons of new and old games, but there's no order to arranging them so they are kinda all over the place and takes a bit of time to find, but they are still good. The games shop is attached to the play area and has shiny new versions of the games.

Ask the Community - Chicagoland Games

How much does it cost to play boardgames in your store outside of boardgame night?

Jack, there is no charge to play a game as long as a table is available! We do reserve tables for our other events, some of which are paid if they have prize support such as a Magic the Gathering event. If a table is reserved, you may not play there…

Do you buy Jordan Rookie cards?

We do not deal in sports cards. The only trading cards we purchase at this time are Magic: The Gathering.

Do they sell yu gi oh cards?

Lukas, We do not sell Yu-Gi-Oh cards. The trading card games we stock are Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, KeyForge, Digimon, Dragon Ball Super, and Final Fantasy.…

Do they have video games?

Nope! All they have are collectible card games, board games, tabletop games and rpg's.

This place is a Chicago hidden gem! The perfect indoor activity…read more There is a huge game vault to choose from, lots of seating, and decent food and drink options. The decor and vibe is very cozy and inviting. The game librarian, Sam, really made it a top tier experience. He was able to recommend games based on what our group liked, taught us how to play the games in under 5 minutes, and really cared that everyone had a great experience. I'd say this is a great place to go even if you're not sure you're a huge 'gamer'. There's lots of options for games, including party games, classic games, two-player games, and strategy games. Plus you don't have to figure out what to play or how to play it on your own. We came on a weekday night which was nice since it wasn't too busy or crowded and we weren't rushed. Would definitely recommend reservations depending on when you go though.

This is a cool place for a quick drink and fun date night…read more $7 to play as many games as you'd like and they do have a huge selection of games with anything that you can think of. However, I found the games to be quite dirty and worn. Obviously, normal wear and tear is to be expected, as many hands are touching the games on a daily basis. However, a replacement of playing cards like Uno, Phase 10 etc is highly recommended due to cards being nearly torn and sticky. Food is okay. I would not order the pancakes as they are simply defrosted in the microwave and served half cold. All in all, I'd recommend but proceed with caution.
