We are so thankful to Pat. If you are debating whether you should come here, think no further. You will get the best quality treatment knowing your baby is in good hands. We found PR Orthotics almost by accident, but given our experience with Lurie Childrens and many other pediatric center, when we came here, Pat knew exactly what we wanted and how we should proceed. It was absolutely amazing to get a helmet for our daughter within 10 days -- my coworkers had to wait for a month after a series of unnecessary tests at other orthotics places. They also had to have two helmets and the whole treatment took 6 months. Our daughter started wearing a helmet when she was about 6.5 months and it took us 2.5 months to get the results we wanted. Other reasons we liked PR Orthotics: - late evening appointments - free scan!!! - Saturday availability (there is no way you could get the same convenience at Lurie Childrens) - direct email and phone to Pat - helmet within 10 days after first coming to Pat. Remember that the earlier you start the treatment, the better and shorter the whole process would take -- so this is huge!

Pat Rogel has been my daughters orthotist since she was 2.5 years old and now going on 12. She provides exceptional care for those in the special needs population. Not only is she an orthotist but an OT as well. We initially met her thru Children's Lurie's in my daughters early years. She is able to make customized AFO's (ankle foot orthosis), as well as helmets for your child or infant. Her specialization is working specifically with the pediatric population. She is extremely knowledgeable and has been doing this a long time. She is very much an advocate for your child and helps to think outside the box when it comes to working to find a solution. She's extremely resourceful. So if your a special needs parent and your child is currently in Early Intervention Birth thru 3 years of age or even older. Be reassured that your child is in great hands. Her new office is in Skokie kiddy corner from Old Orchard Mall. Golf and Skokie Blvd. Its a handicapped accessible building. She currently accepts AETNA and is waiting on BCBS coverage approval. Give her a call!

Words cannot describe how grateful I am to Pat and PR Orthotics! We took our baby to one place recommended by her pediatrician to find out if the baby needed a helmet for a little flat part in her head. We were disappointed beyond belief! This place insisted on a helmet before our baby had a scan. They didn't stop calling or emailing about how we wanted to proceed. I wanted a second option so I searched the web. By the grace of God, I found Pat. We went in for our free consultation and she physically tested the baby and low and behold our baby couldn't move her neck to the left! She needed Physical Therapy, not a helmet! We went to the place that Pat recommended and within a month, the shape of our baby had already shaped back to normal. Thank you so very much, Pat! You are highly recommended!

Super easy scheduling, and we were done with our helmet 2 weeks before we had originally planned!

Oy, I have a lot of feelings about this practice…read more 1) The facility in Skokie is amazing. Super new, clean, and modern. I love it. This is probably my favorite part of T&C, sadly. 2) I like the nurses more than the doctors; they're much friendlier and engaging with my son than the doctors are. 3) The front desk staff is also very friendly and helpful. 5 stars for them and the nurses! 4) We've seen 4 doctors so far and we haven't fallen in love with any. This is obviously very subjective, but so far none seem to be really excited to work with babies? We only have 1 child so far who is 3 months old, so I have no context for pediatricians and how engaging they are with babies, but so far it's just not really what I expected. We did, however have one doctor while at the hospital who we really liked (Dr. Bergquist) but she's at the Halsted location which isn't really where we want to go due to distance. Finally.... 5) The billing department is A MESS. They are the reason I'm looking to change practices. So far, I've received 3 bills, none of which were billed to my insurance. After numerous calls back and forth between them and my insurance, I discovered that the billing department folks simply weren't calling the number on my insurance card or going to the website to confirm my son's coverage. Basically, my insurance company, Aetna, is billed through a separate company, Allied, which isn't in T&C's system. Since mid October I've had Allied representatives reach out to T&Cs billing department on two separate occasions to confirm my coverage. The verdict was that T&C billing now has to go through this lengthy, separate process to confirm my son's coverage which will for some reason take at least 45 business days to finalize. In the meantime, I'm on the hook for 2 out of the 3 bills (for some reason one of the bills was properly billed to my insurance, so I'm doubly confused as to why the other two are going through this separate process) Between the two bills that I just have to "wait" on for 45 days, it's almost $900, so obviously I don't want to pay for something that my insurance will cover a large portion of. I have a feeling, sadly, in the end this won't get resolved and I'll for whatever reason be turned over to collections for payment,. This is what happened to my landlord who used to take her son to T&C and ran into similar issues with the billing department. All of the reps I've spoke with sound miserable and like it's a chore to help you, which, while I'm sure it's not a fun job, it's not something I can do anything about as a patient who is trying to not drown in medical bills that aren't my responsibility. Hopefully they fix the issue soon but I imagine they'll lose more patients because of the awful billing department practices and staff.

For a large practice this place SUCKS administratively. And really, WHY ELSE would you go to a…read morelarge practice?? TWICE they have not sent records over for my son. This time for OVER TWO MONTHS. And the medical record office does not answer the phone EXCEPT ON TUESDAYS. What backwards, unfriendly-to-patients, uncaring kind of place is this. Oh don't forget the doctor who suggested my son was autistic as if it would be some dread disease if he were. Ableist and disgraceful.
