I'm not sure how Rosie Mae services used to be but my experience is 2 fold. They had a young girl…read morecoming to assist my mom but instead she was doing absolutely nothing. I flew into town and the day that she came, first off she had on clothes as if she fell out of the bed and threw something on. Her hair was all over her head, and to top it all off, she NEVER got off the couch to do anything! I asked her what her duties were and she pulled out a small piece of paper and recited a few things which she never did. When I say she sat on my mothers couch for the full 4 hours that's exactly what I mean. I even video taped her so that if I needed to share it with Rosie Mae I had proof. At the end of her 4 hours she said bye and left. I immediately called Tishieka to report her and whatever happened after that, she did not show up again. Great right? So now they send another caregiver that I ABSOLUTELY LOVED! She was sweet, she knows how to deal with elders that suffer from a little dementia, she cooks, cleans and is attuned with the patient and this is definitely someone you would want with your parent especially when you can't be there. My mom referred to her as a 2nd daughter and that made me feel good and that she was safe. Fast forward, I called Tishieka to see if we could get more hours for my Mom and she instructed me to call someone that works with her named Natalie. I called Natalie which was very accomodating and gave us more hours to assist my Mom. I then called Tishieka back to inform her and she then tells me, "Oh I put her with another client because she needed more hours" I'm like what?! I just spoke with you and you told me to call Natalie to make this happen, she did it and now you say you can't? That totally threw me off because why would you tell me to do that in the first place? Fast forward again, I called Tishieka again, this time to give a compliment and review that the caregiver is doing an amazing job and that I was so happy and whatever I have to do to keep her I will. She then tells me "I'm glad you called and that the caregiver will be attending school and her hours will only be 9:30 to 2:30pm. I'm like whatever we need to do to accommodate her school hours and for her to still be able to go to my Mom, let's do it. She said ok cool, I'll call you back Friday. Well Friday comes and goes and on that Monday the caregiver is supposed to come but she doesn't show. I called to find out what's going on and no answer or call back. Now it's Thursday and I call to get no answer and then she calls me back to tell me she's short staffed so that's why you didn't call me back? I at least deserved a call to inform me what's going on with the services for my mom. She then tells me that the young lady doesn't work for the company anymore! Soooo when were you going to inform us of that? Especially after I specifically requested her and her only. So at this point I tell Tishieka that I no longer want to use their services and she tells me to call Natalie. No customer service or retention. After that I called Natalie and left a message. She called me today and I explained everything and how this is unprofessional and she asked me how I want to proceed. At this point I'm done! I told her we no longer want the service and she asked me "so what are you going to do for her care". I'm thinking, are you serious? Now the company cares? I proceeded to tell her that I got her and we'll get her care elsewhere. Upon asking them to cancel the service I also wanted to make sure that everything stopped when the caregiver stopped coming. She tells me not to be rude but that has nothing to do with you. Excuse me, as long as my mother is alive I WILL ALWAYS BE INVOLVED. How rude! And this is a caregiving company? Although I know it can be challenging to find 'GOOD' people to work, it's also not cool to keep changing caregivers for elderly people that suffer from dementia or other ailments. I love to support black businesses but PLEASE let's get our stuff together. Customer service is EVERYTHING!
