After a year, I decided to give this store a second chance and it will be the last time. While trying on a few items the manager was consistently being rude to me and I decided not to purchase anything. As I was walking out, she told me "not to ever come back that I'm not welcomed", "I can't afford anything in her store" and "your kind are not welcomed here" she then proceeded to lock the door on me. I'm a 36yrs old educated Hispanic woman with a career and I can afford a $100 dress. This store is RACIST A.F.!!! Do not support this "boutique". Owner sucks. Not about the customer at all. I came to exchange some outfits that my husband gifted my for Christmas. The owner came out very rudely with attitude telling me the time had past saying how Saks only gives 15 days of return. LOL. YOU ARE NOT SAKS AND SAKS WOULD HAVE SAID IT A LOT NICER THAN YOU. I just had the worst experience in Chica Chic and from the other reviews it looks like i am not the only one that the Owner has been extremely rude too recently. After buying an outfit there a few weeks ago, I went in to get the shirt altered (which she had told me I could do). From the minute I walked in she was making rude comments to me. When I told her I was just looking, and that I had no events coming up she said "your so Miami with your leggings, YSL purse and no where to go". Then when I tried on the shirt she insisted I didn't need it altered and when I told her the straps were falling off she told me that she was trying to save me money and that there were bigger problems in the world than straps falling down. I am shocked that she would treat a paying customer this way. I have shopped here in the past and the manager is an older woman who is very rude and miserable!!! In the past, I have noticed her rudeness and still bought there, but against my better judgment, I tried to go in again because we saw something in the window we liked. My daughter and I had not even fully entered the store when she yells out to us that "no drinks are allowed here!" Mind you, our drinks had tops on the cups and straws, which we got at Avalon next door (BTW, Avalon is amazing and their managers/owners, Sebastian and Valentina and his mom are beautiful people) Anyways, if you want people to buy from you, one really needs to be tactful and courteous. She does not make you feel welcome and frankly, the stuff in the store I can buy elsewhere and less expensive. Whoever owns this store needs to get rid of her. I don't think she is the owner and if she is, Lady, you are a horrible human being. Never going back there AGAIN!!!!! And from the reviews I've read, the owner should consider training her staff to be more courteous. I came in today to use my birthday gift card that expired two days ago; I have shopped here for years and when asked what do I want or need I love to come here for unique finds at fair prices. I have shopped at this little boutique for years, maybe 8+ years. I really liked the owner and her mom has always been so sweet. I have been a loyal and pleasant customer who has recommended many people to this small business . When I have made purchases, they have been fairly significant, and I usually bought clothes for my two daughters as well. Their policy changed to final sales with exchanges within 10 days if it was a gift. My daughter (a student) recently purchased 5 outfits $569.00 a few days ago and one did not fit well and it did I not fit her sister either. I went back to Chica Chic with the one dress to exchange for a store credit, since I was going to be shopping there for myself also at the moment. I had also just been there 2 days ago and purchased items for myself. To my very big surprise, the owner told me I could not exchange because it was a final sale and I did not have a "gift receipt!" The dress had the tags on, I had the "original receipt" and it had only been 4 days. I told her it had not fit my other daughter either (a gift) and she said that if I did not have a "gift receipt" she could not help me! I explained that my daughter tried to gift it to her sister and it did not fit. Why should she need a "gift receipt" for a close family member, if the item is intact and I had the original receipt, and I was within the days of purchase? We have been going there for years!!!! I was going to purchase more than what the dress was worth and I was not asking for the money back, just a credit towards my purchase and I would reimburse my daughter myself. I said why would I have to tell you if I am gifting someone? I buy gifts here all the time to give to family and friends and do not necessarily ask for a gift receipt. Her answer was, well that's rude to gift someone and not give them a gift receipt! She proceeded to turn to her employee and roll her eyes and said "she still does not understand!" She was referring to me! I was dumbfounded!!! I can't think of anything more belittling to say in this situation. I can't tell you how saddened and disappointed I am! She actually tried to make me feel like an idiot. I asked her again to please consider it, and she said "don't you understand what I am telling you?" I am blown away and will never go back, nor will I ever recommend anyone to this store again. This was the worse customer service I have ever experienced and she was so rude! I don't ever write reviews, but this definitely hit my heart! I thought being a good customer and loyalty meant something, but I guess it does not. I walked in the store wasn't greeted I asked about a dress the woman told me it was $60 she apparently seen my facial expression through my mask and decided to say the reason it was priced like that was because it was a boutique I told her that her business being a boutique doesn't mean her clothes automatically change prices (I've been to plenty of boutiques who clothes don't go over $50)but nevertheless I was still interested in purchasing the dress I asked her if the dressing rooms were open which they were CLEARLY OPEN she decided to ponder then reply "uhhhhhhhhh no?" So sad to have to write the same thing as many others. Today I entered the store at 5:40-which I understand is near closing time. However, the door was locked and I was greeted by an angry employee "do you need anything I'm closing in 10 minutes" she stated. Not a "hello" "welcome" "is there anything I can help you with". I explained I was actually looking for a specific item and I had been in contact via social media for which she stated "that wasn't me" and began to shut the door in my face! For which I stated "Ok well I would still like to try on and purchase the item" she hesitantly let me in "you have 10 minutes so you better hurry up" I was so shocked I didn't even reply. It was 5:42 I had exactly 18 minutes until closing. I have worked in retail and specifically in small boutiques. From the customer service skills I have gained and from just a simple understanding of customer service IF you are in a rush to leave you kindly state that closing time is at 6pm but if there is anything that one can help them with they would be happy to. However, clearly this young female was not taught any manners or for that matter any customer service skills. Anyways, I was in and out before closing time, to be exact I was out by 5:55. I understand closing at times takes long or inventory needs to be done after hours but I wasn't in the store after hours. In a short, the boutique is cute but I probably won't be back because of the poor service provided and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there even as a previous shopper. Like stated in other Yelp reviews; it's a boutique- which usually means you can find the same items at almost any other boutique and from now on I would prefer to give my business to someone who appreciates their customers. Very saddening, disheartened and just truly shocked by the way I was treated today. I can count the times I have stepped foot in this store with one hand. Reason #1 being that they lack variety in their clothing. #2 they overprice their clothes. #3 the lack of customer service (being that your staff is not very friendly or helpful), and let me explain why. The second time I went in the store the owner was arguing with a customer (red flag). Whether or not the customer was wrong you need to understand that your store needs these customer believe it or not since your Instagram followers and traffic are so low. I don't really know how you even keep the business runnning. If this is a hobby you need to close down because the way I was mistreated and accused today was out of line. I went in the store and grab a couple of items to try on. It took about 10 minutes for the grandma, daughter and yourself to acknowledge the fact that I was holding a couple of items and needed a fitting room. Then then owner proceeded to tell me that I couldn't try on a specific item because it wouldn't fit. How exactly she knows that by just looking at someone baffles me. Maybe you should be a magician. She then proceeded to tell me that the last time I was there. Most likely a month to two months ago that I had tried on an item and ripped it and they had to sew it back. If that's the case then you are in the wrong business. Also, one thing is to tell someone that you believe that it might not fit due to whatever reason. But another one is to accuse someone of ripping an item, and then say "don't be offended". Of course I am offended you not only accused me of something you have no proof of and did it in a very nasty manner. I guess it had to come to this for me to stay the heck away from this place. However, I recently had a return that was over 10 days (they count Sundays as a day even though they are not open) and they would not make an exception for a loyal customer. I explained that I did not want my money back, just a credit to purchase something I would use. While I do agree that customers should not make a habit of asking for policy exceptions, a one time courtesy exception to the policy can be made. read more

The last few times I've been in this store, the older woman who works there has been extremely discourteous and ill-mannered. Each time I've come in, I've gone into the fitting room with a few items and the moment I come out of the fitting room she says (in Spanish) something along the lines of "Wow, I'm sure it didn't fit" or "Oooh, this can make you look wider than you already are", all while she's looking at you up and down. Talk about taking the joy out of shopping! The reality is that on more than one of those occasions I was actually going to purchase some items because contrary to her belief, they actually did fit my apparently "wide frame". I decided against giving them my business. I may not be a size 2 BUT I can still fit into their clothing and to have someone be so incredibly rude each time I've been there is enough to make you never go back. Their pieces can be found in other boutiques in Miami, such as Prinzessa who has beautiful items and friendly and courteous staff members, so there is really no need for me to ever return. I will give my business to those who make you feel welcome and beautiful. My advice to the owner...keep that woman away from your paying customers. I live nearby the Chica Chic but usually don't go to that shopping center until a couple of weeks ago that I had to go the cleaners which is in the same shopping center.
