Group of 7 from Texas rented these cabins for a week to enjoy the local roads. WOW is all I can…read moresay. We fell in love instantly and enjoyed every moment at this cabin. We wish we could buy one for ourselves lol. The views aren't substantial, but the location was prime for reaching all of our destinations easily. This layout and floor plan easily accommodated all of us comfortably. If you are worried about space, don't even sweat it. I bet it could fit double with zero issues. All the amenities worked and Jeanette is so timely in responses and getting our needs met. There is something for everyone, seriously. The only bad thing you could possibly say is that the roads to get into the cabins is a bit confusing and a bit technical to drive with a full size truck and trailer. However, once you're in, you just hate to leave. I found at the end of every long day of riding, I was so happy to get to come home to Wildflower cabin #1 as my home. We checked in with friends who rented another cabin #7 and they raved about it as well. Look no further for your family lodging needs, this is the place you are looking for! =)

Have made so many precious memories of our times together. Pictures of the great grandkids growing from year to year. Taking turns making meals & the fun & of exchanging gifts. The dirty Santa gift swap. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Jeanette is a fantastic hostess. Couldnt be more helpful. Have come to regard her as a friend. Cabins are the best. Will continue as long as we are physically able. Leaving today for a rare 3 night stay on a summer vacation at cabin #3. Can't wait. Highly recommend to all.

We rented Bear Cabin on this property for 5 nights. The location is optimal. Even though there are…read moreother cabins close by, we still felt we had plenty of privacy. A quick trip to the store is easy enough because an Ingles is across the street. Overall, the cabin was a good fit for my husband and me. Though it sleeps up to 6, it would be a tight fit for more than 2 people. Our bed and pillows were very comfortable, so we slept well each night. The kitchen is small, but it has what you need if you plan to cook in the cabin. We did have to go to the property office for grilling utensils because the cabin had none. Cons: The cabin could've been cleaner. There was hair (animal, from the looks of it) and crumbs on the arm and back of the couch. Two cooking spoons had food crusted onto them, though guests are supposed to clean and put away dishes before checking out. We would stay here again!

BEWARE OF ''MOOSE'' CABIN, IT IS TOXIC. My wife & I had to be in Franklin for medical reasons so I…read morehad the misfortune of renting the ''MOOSE'' cabin for three nights. We arrived kind of late first night so just ate some burgers & went to sleep. When we got up in morning I told my wife that the cabin smelled off. After looking the place over I realized the wood ceilings were covered with BLACK MOLD!!!! All of the surfaces were very sticky, countertops , tables etc. Cobwebs were everywhere. Corners on floor were filthy, dust was built up on door hinges. Pots & pans were old teflon coated that looked they came from dumpster out back of Good Will store. I would not let my dog eat out of them let alone try cooking with them. I told my wife we will not be staying here at the '' MOOSE'' cabin. I took her to her medical appointment and called owner to express my concerns about everything with cabin. He informed me that he has had ''PROBLEM'' with mold in the past. He blamed it on being in the woods & of course the rain. I live in the mountains as well. Where I live is way more wooded than the lot where the ''MOOSE'' cabin is & I have no mold problems. He told me '' I SANDED DOWN THE MOLD & APPLIED POLYURATHANE OVER IT'' . I told him that will NOT take care of mold problem. He kind of disagreed with me. I was in construction business for over 50 years and have dealt with black mold more than a dozen times. Sandpaper was never used. It first must be sprayed with antifungal, let dry a few days then be removed. That is the ONLY way to deal with black mold. He said he had crew coming in the afternoon to sand it again. Sorry folks that will not work. But it will look all right for the next set of campers to come thru. Oh yea the WiFi was not working as well. That was the ''rains fault'' Once I told him I took pictures, unfortunately I could not upload them for some reason, his demeaner changed real quick & he gave me a refund for my trip. We had to stay at motel so that meant no cooking. Our food did not go bad but we took it back & forth for nothing. Word to the wise all you campers, rockhounds, rafters and leaf lookers enjoy all the beauty these mountains have to offer but take some time to look your lodging over real close. Thank you for your attention to this matter..... Tom M

If you are looking for a great cabin getaway in Franklin, North Carolina, look no further than…read morethe Bearfoot Retreat which I kept calling Bear Naked Retreat! Lol I don't know about you but when I am looking for vacation accommodations, I look at the following: price, location, space, and entertainment. First, let's talk about pricing of this place. If you go during the weekdays, it will cost you $144 a night and $170 on the weekends. There is also a $175 cleaning fee and $65 service fee. Since the place is pretty spacious, I can see why they would charge $175 cleaning fee. As for the service fee, according to them the purpose of the fee is ," This helps us run our platform and offer services like 24/7 support on your trip." This Bearfoot cabin is located in the quaint little town of Franklin, North Carolina. My family and I had wanted to be in the woods but not too isolated where we can't go grab food or drinks at local diner or grocery store. So it was nice to be in woods but miles within civilization! This cabin is three bedroom on the main floor but there is a spacious basement with a big bunkbed. There basement has a shelf full of books and games along with a ping ping table and piano. There's a six man hot tub off through the basement door. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of space to hang out with each other but also enough space to just " retreat" if we had wanted to. One of the best things about this place is the board games, ping ping table, piano, library, and hottub to entertain everyone. There's also a cool little bar area where you can mix drinks and then take it out to the big porch overlooking a beautiful mountain view. There's rocking chairs and a grill on the porch as well. So if you are looking for a mountain retreat, grab some friends and family and head to the Bearfoot Retreat! Don't worry about the beers too much because we didn't see any! Just don't leave amd food outside in the trash, just in case you don't get aby unwelcome visitors!
