I consulted many friends and colleagues who all gave me their salon faves and why, but I loved what my one friend said about A-List 'they listen, they take their time, and they do it right.' WOW! I met with Dosia on 12/20/2023 and surrendered my ultra-long, ultra-shapeless hair that badly needed...something? I wanted low maintenance but to keep the length. Give me a great style, but show me how to do it myself without a million products. She was absolutely amazing! Not only did she give me expert tips on styling my new look, but hair care tips (sleep on a silk pillow to protect your tresses, ladies!), and product recommendations without the pressure to purchase anything. Oh, and even my new pup was welcomed like an A-List Celebrity! Finally, it was so refreshing to find a salon and a stylist who wasn't dismissive because I wasn't laying down the Benjamins for dramatic cuts/colors/products (like so many stylists), - she really saw me as a beautiful person who needed expert care without the BS. HIGHLY RECOMMEND A-LIST AND EVEN MORE, DOSIA!

I really wanted to love this place. Andrea - the owner - is awesome at hair. That's why I gave 5…read morestars the first time. But the second time - after she did my hair equally as awesome - I went to pay and Andrea rang me up for a cut and highlights at $165. The first time it was $125. "What changed?" I asked her. "Well," she said, "I put more highlights in this time." So, 3 things: 1) Am I supposed to keep track of how many highlights are being put in? Or know how much each one costs? 2) If you decide to put more in, even if it's based on a conversation that we had about what kind of color I want, shouldn't you tell me it's going to cost more? 3) She compromised at $145 but recommended that if I didn't want to pay $165 next time that I go with a less experienced stylist, rather than the owner. Uh sorry, that's not the way to sell me. Dammit A-list, I really wanted to love you...alas our affair was fleeting...just like my cute haircut.

The stylists at this salon are receptive, friendly and most importantly they are extremely talented. The atmosphere at Windowall is fabulous-- it is always tidy, has gorgeous art deco light fixtures, and is beaming with warm natural light. I've been seeing Emily here for years and she has always given me incredible cuts and color. Her blowouts are unlike any I've had from another stylist. After visiting Emily I get compliments on my hair for months, she really helps boost a clients self esteem and knows how to create the perfect look for her clients. If you let her do her own thing she will make you into a goddess! I also recently visited one of their newest stylists there, Indigo. I showed her photos of the cut I wanted and even described the types of hairstyles Id like to do and Indigo went above and beyond to not only create the hairstyle I desired, but to customize it to my face shape and involved my opinion every step of the way. I was elated by the results. I'm so glad I found another fabulous stylist here! Thank you Windowwall for being so consistent and to all of the stylists who really are masters of their craft.

Here's what happened…read more I found windowwall by website. I reviewed their pricing and stylist bios. I called reception, asked for Katrina, and they said Katrina manages her own schedule so they gave me her number. I texted Katrina and booked my appointment. Success... -1 Star: I arrived to my appointment 10 minutes early and was asked to wait outside of the salon in a sitting area. The only place to sit was underneath a large fan because other chairs were taken by garbage and dirty laundry. Advice: Bring a sweater or coat, even on a nice day! -1 Star: Katrina was 25 minutes late to our appointment. She greeted me and immediately let me know I didn't have to wear a mask indoors. I said it was fine but she continued to put pressure on me. Advice: Regardless of someone else's preference for masks - do what makes you feel comfortable and follow the current county and state guidelines! - Star: Before our appointment and during our consultation, I showed Katrina photos of my hair inspiration. I gave her the full history of my hair. I asked her pointblank: "Do we need permanent or semi permanent color my hair to get my hair a slightly lighter shade of chocolate brown?" Her response in text and over consult was "No, gloss is fine." I figured after asking twice, I was well informed that I was getting a gloss and cut. She begins the appointment and starts with... FOILS. I thought, maybe this is a new technique. I had no idea at the end of my appointment the following: Katrina did a partial highlight on my hair using peroxide and we NEVER discussed this during the appointment Katrina charged me "her own" prices and not the websites. I thought I was paying for 135 (gloss and haircut) and she charged me 300.00... Advice: get in writing what services you'll need/ want and discuss your ballpark price for service so you don't have any astronomical surprises like I did! - 1 Star during the appointment, Katrina splattered color all over me including in my eye and ruined my top. Her process was careless when it came to her clients clothing and face covering. Advice: don't wear nice clothing to your appointment! I texted with Katrina afterwards letting her know that although the results weren't bad, I was surprised at all that had transpired. She faulted me saying she has her own website with her own prices and when giving me the break down of what she charged, she wrote partial highlight... which we NEVER discussed... For me, the experience was a bit shady and careless. I wont return this salon, but I hope you take my advice if you like a stylist here.
