I saw Linh yesterday after a friend referred me, and I'm so glad I went! She had great availability and texts to make appointments, which is a huge plus for me. The salon is clean, comfortable, and even has refreshments. There's also parking and it's super easy to get to, which is rare in San Diego. Most importantly, my nails are simply stunning. Linh did such an amazing job and really paid attention to detail. I've been to a lot of nail salons around San Diego, and I'm honestly so happy to have finally found my home at Chic Nails. I popped in for a quick pedicure here on Monday evening. It was quiet in the shop, but as always it was bright & clean. I opted for the "classic" ($31) pedicure and before my tech took care of my scraggly feet, she offered me a beverage. I opted for a water and she handed me a little bottle of cold water. Much appreciated! Then she proceeded to soak, scrub, clip, massage, and polish her way to making my poor footsies look presentable again. She did a great job, and I will certainly return. A few notes: if you use a debit card you'll be charged a 3.5% fee, tips in cash are appreciated, they do have an atm, but I'm not sure how much the fee is for taking out cash. If you're looking for a nail salon - this is it! I've been getting my nails done for 20 years and this is by far the BEST place I've ever gone to. My nails have never looked so perfect or grown so long/strong. These are my real nails in the photo and they were actually twice as long right before this thanks to her strengthening them over time with hard gel! My nails are perfect every single time and last at least 3 weeks. Lynn is the absolute best - she is so friendly, always fits me in even last minute and she is so quick. Worst experience ever! We went on Sunday 1hour and 30 minutes before closing the place was empty I showed them the design and they confirmed they can do it but they told me to come back the next day @11 I got a call @10 the next day and was asked to come @12 so I did. Once we checked in I showed the design again and I was told they can do it no problem. After 2 hours with the color being off the original request they informed me that they are unable to do the flowers. With no apologies they offered to take them off and ""GO SOMEWHERE ELSE" Horrible costumer service. I never leave bad reviews but this situation left my daughter in tears and a bloody finger. Linh did an amazing job on my wedding nails. She helped me narrow down my choices and checked with me regularly about shape, length, and pattern. I felt more relaxed than I typically do while getting my nails done because I was so confident in her precision and application. My nails have lasted several weeks (through a honeymoon of kayaking and zip lining, weight training, and chronic nail/skin picking). My husband and mom have both commented on how well they've lasted (no lift at all). I still get compliments on them! This is my mom's current favorite manicure spot, so came in today to give it a try. They were very friendly, clean, comfortable salon, and they did a very nice job on the manicures for me and my daughter. $40 for gel manicure; $50 for hot gel manicure, which they recommended for me, since my nails were a bit thin; bummer; they were never thin before I started getting gel manicures. But, they look great. Definitely recommend! PS: noticed after the fact that there's a free beverage with services. They didn't offer that to us, but will ask next time. read more

Instead of offering some type of complimentary service (discount on replacement set, replacement tip on cracked nail , etc), I was charged $10 for removal. I felt like a burden as soon as I walked in, even though there was only one other person in there. I'm a very low maintenance person, but I expect some sort of customer service. The woman doing my nails was on her phone the whole time. I work in customer service and I would never stay on my phone while working with a customer. I got up and left after 10 minutes. They were very careful to not hurt me in anyway and they did a great job at painting my nails very quickly with no mistake. Wow this is the most unprofessional nail salon I've ever been to. First the lady said she couldn't do a 9 o'clock appointment and that I needed to come at 9:30 then she's calling and texting me at 9:15 saying that I'm late and what time would I be there then I show up at 9:30 exactly as planned and the lady does a lame job on my nails, trying to punish me for her error so of course one nail breaks and I have to go back four days later and the lady will not take me and tells me I need to come back again in order to get my nail fixed. I let her know I needed to fly out the next day and couldn't come back and how long would the wait be? She would not answer and told me I had to come back . I won't be coming back here. I don't have time or energy for this type of treatment and unprofessionalism. read more

This brand new upscale nail salon is run and owned by my long time manicurist, Linh and co-owner Emily. They have worked together for many years and they are both upbeat, focused and talented. The customer service is top notch and I always get spectacular service. I usually get gel manicures and pedicures. They also have dip and acrylics and of course, regular polish. I think they do waxing as well! I'm very excited for this new women owned business right next door to Baron's Market.
