The salon is in a nice area on Merrick Blvd. near shops and eateries. Inside the salon is bright and pleasantly decorated; and has Friendly vibes! Priscilla is welcoming and down to earth, she asks how you want your weave done and/or styled (all pictures are welcome!). I was a bit anxious because I do use 4 colors blended in my weave, but it was NO BIG DEAL to her, she understood and executed my weave beautifully! OMG, my "hair" came out soooo Good!! and I felt newly refreshed. **Warning**: you may get hooked on a particular YouTube series while visiting this salon. I aint tellin, you'll just have to visit.

Amina quoted me $350 for a boho braid short style . Unfortunately, on the day of service in which a traveled over an hr to . I was told that only some human hair would be used for the end curls . And when I mention to the braider that I can be sensitive to the synthetic hair she stated it would NOT be directly on my scalp as my hair would get braided first then they would add the synthetic along with a piece of human hair to rap around Which is NOT what i paid for . Nonetheless she said it would not touch my scalp . After all my hair was done she processed to curl my end with boiling hot water , she had a towel on half of my neck while I seat in a higher chair. I ended getting burned 4 times because she dropped water on my unprotected neck. Though she apologized the damage was already done . Days later (4days)I ended getting an allergic reaction to the synthetic hair which lead to me taking out a $350 hairstyle . Not to mention having massive painful burns all throughout my neck and back areas. I reached out to Amina explaining my bad experience and advised that her advertisement was misleading. She said she's sorry about the burns and that , that's why she doesn't like doing short hairstyle . She asked for my phone number so she can send $50 for me to buy an ointment for the burns . As a customer I should have to state the obvious I should've gotten a full refund . After trying to care for my burns over the weekend enduring discomfort and pain I messaged her asking for a full refund a she basically stated that I should've known that the price did not include human hair and that she didn't have to give me the $50 to begin with. Needless to say this has been the worst experience EVER!!!!!! I would not refer anyone to shop or her !!

I recently visited this salon that I found on Instagram and had a disappointing experience. The…read morework on Instagram is very nice, but it is all smoke and mirrors. Although the owner was friendly, her hairstylist Adji was not skilled, and I do not recommend going to this salon. I texted Adji to schedule an appointment and paid a deposit; although she was very accommodating regarding the scheduling, she lacked professionalism. When I arrived at the salon, Adji charged me an additional $30 to blow dry my hair even though she previously told me it wasn't necessary. Additionally, Adji could not achieve the style I requested, noting that she could not do stitch braids, although "her" work on Instagram showed otherwise. She noted that all the work on her page was not hers, and based on my experience, it appears most of the work may not be hers, which is very misleading. To make matters worse, I paid $350 for a "human hair" boho bob, but the hair began tangling and coming out of the braids almost immediately. Even though I have tight 4C curls and frequently get my hair done, I had to remove the braids after just one week because the tangling was unmanageable, and the synthetic hair began to unravel. Adji took 8 hours to complete the bob and took four breaks, once to take a 45-minute call and three times to eat; please keep in mind that I was told I wasn't allowed to eat in front of the salon. She even got upset when I asked her not to stop again to try on new outfits. Ultimately, I regret traveling from Brooklyn for such mediocre and overpriced service. I hope this post helps someone else avoid the same experience. Instead, I recommend going to a salon on 125 or elsewhere.

Scheduling with her was quick and easy. When I scheduled with her she was able to fit me in the next day. (I had a tight schedule next week so I was happy with the availability) A big reason for my decision was that she was at a Salon! & was able to wash and blow dry my hair. Typically when I get my hair washed and blow dried it hurts but she was gentle with my hair and knew what she was doing. Her knowledge was an additional plus! She gave me advice for the next closure I should get. She also suggested a middle part for the size closure I got and I was really nervous because I always wear side parts. I ended up listening to her & I LOOK SO CUTE! Thank you Latisha , the salon experience was great. I was experiencing seasonal depression and after getting my hair done I feel like a new woman. I'm in such a good mood and I got A LOT of compliments. No one can even tell I have a closure in. 5/5 Book with her ASAP!

This is a very un-ethical and unprofessional hairstylist. Her address is not the same as the phony…read moreaddress that she has on google. She has a random address to a supermarket. She has no morale and beware of entrusting your money with her let alone your hair. After speaking with her via facetime ($40 pd consult) Which I was very flexible she called me back about an hour after the appt and I still didn't mind. She informed me of a $2050 package (hybrid install k-tips i-tips/ wash and set and removal) and her showing me the different hair textures via Facetime. She explained that a $250.00 deposit was required for the package and so later that afternoon: I instead Zelled her $300 (so as to lower the remaining balance amount, which we agreed would be paid on the install day that was TBD) She explained to me that she doesn't color the customers hair only color matches the extensions. Therefore, because I wanted a Balayage on my hair we agreed that I would reach out to her once I dyed my hair elsewhere so that she can then do the extension color matching.. I then sent her a picture of my new hair color and she stated that she would get started on the hair matching.. Therefore, I didn't think there would be any further discussion on the hair topic other than setting a date for the install, once she also confirmed that she had color matched the itip extensions.. So I reach out to her three days after to confirm whether she had an idea as to when the hair would be ready and reiterating the fact that I needed assurance that she could match the extensions exactly to my hair color and if not that I didn't mind taking the extensions to my colorist so that she can color them) She stated that the extensions would be $400.00 more and she confirmed that she (had not dyed them and I was glad because the sample of haircoloring that she showed me on her website was not my style nor did she have any example close to a Balayage).. and that she was open to this option. I later reached out to my colorist and after discussing the charge with her I decided it was best that I not proceed with neither job... I sent her a text informing her that I didn't want to proceed with her service any longer and therefore requested my deposit back. She explained that she would get the $300 sent back to me the next day.. I am still waiting.. Since then she has not replied to my text messages nor phone calls. She is truly speaking to her integrity, because if she had some form of integrity she would have retuned my deposit immediately because she has seen that I even had the trust to not send her $250 but $300 and via Zelle.. She is speaking to her lack of professionalism and integrity and for a so-called stylist that has services ranging up to $1,000 per install it looks like her keeping my money is personal at this moment.

At the max of $120 plus $35 for washing snd blow drying this style should have cost $155. I paid $185 for this style! You look at this style and tell me how much do you think it's worth? I went to this salon for quite awhile…read more.. Sabrina was my hair stylist and she did an out standing job on my hair each time. I mean she was great at cutting ,perming, sewing, you name it she was great at it! The problem with Sabrina is that she is unreliable, a bit confrontational, and she is the slowest working stylist that my friends and I have ever come across. Sabrina takes years to do your hair, she is never on time for appointments and if you are lucky enough that she is already at the salon for your appointment, be prepared for your whole day to be taken up with her talking on the phone, texting ,eating, taking her sweet time to finish your hair. I mean she really works slow, and this is from years of experience, and I know about 10 people that once went to Sabrina but all of them stopped because she lacked professionalism. In addition to that she chooses to go up and down on prices whenever she pleases. One week you could pay $85 and the next week you will pay $100 , for the exact hair style, and she just decides it whenever she pleases. Sabrina is a great stylist and I would never take that away from her but she is not worth the money and time being that there are a million other great stylist in that salon and in new york that don't take forever to do your hair and won't go up and down on prices just because they feel like it. You can not rely on Sabrina if you have made an appointment with her or if you are a walk in, and when confronting her on any issue she gets defensive and instead of accomadating she does not care. Pros: Great Stylist Cons: Unreliable, Confrontational, Random price changes, Slowest stylist you will ever come across Tip: If you do decide to go to this place, go to one of the other ladies to do your hair, and if you do decide to go to Sabrina make sure you have cab fair because by the time you get out of the salon, public transportation will have already stopped running properly...in other words don't go to sabrina.
