Nice venue. We had…read moredinner with great service. Appetizers were short ribs, which were served grilled with some kim chee, and scallops that were served over something white pured. My favorite was the clam chowder soup, which was creamy, rich, and very tasty. We also shared a salad which had a spring mix, light vinegarette with some asparagus. It needed some kind of goat cheese or feta cheese as well as some nuts. For the main entree, we had a steak (medium rare) with unique onions (?balsamic grilled?) with broccolini that we enjoyed whereas the fish was a little on the dry side over a bed of rissoto. Dessert was creme brulee (good) and a chocolate forest cake (did not taste that great but maybe I don't like cherries like that.) Live music with guitar and singing was occurring in the lounge. That was lovely but it was a little too loud. The atmosphere is nice-- bar area with some table seating in the lounge area. We also liked the patio terrace outside which has fire pits and outdoor games. It has a lovely view of the downtown. (And remember that it does not get dark in San Jose in summers until around 9pm). The club also has a formal dining room, business conference/meeting rooms, ballrooms, etc. for any occasion. Parking is underground in the building and will be validated. Looking forward to our next visit.

They told members they were closing with less than a months notice. The Food was very tasty but it failed to fill you up. The social events were well attended. But you could somehow see the decline coming they never fixed the AC. How can you have indoor events in a business club with NO A/C ?? They literally had a swamp cooler in various events. Great place to have a virtual office/ meet up place to meet clients. Great place to network but sadly its leaving after 34 years.

This place is a great find by my partner and we came here last night after a busy day of…read morefestivities. They have such an extensive space to play games and I didn't realize they also have food available here in addition to drinks. We got a sandwich, liquid death and a mocktail! The drinks were refreshing, however, the sandwich was not very good... We played friend sip for 15 minutes or so before transitioning to an improv game. This place is quite busy on a Saturday night and can house several groups of people!

I've been here times innumerable. I was frequenting here back when it was still Forager, and then…read morechanged hands during Covid to what it is today. And after all this time, so little has been done to improve the space, so I have to slam you for your mismanagement of a great venue. Yes, you are creating space for so many niche hobbies. You're creating community for a crowd I resonate with. But goddamn, you're really shooting yourselves in the foot still. Problems that need to be addressed: 1. If you're booked for a private event, you NEED to declare it to the public. Don't make me walk up intending a night with friends, only to be turned away because you found a better way to make money. Like how hard is it to have an instagram, or a website with an events page (you DO, omfg, USE it) and warn folks. I would say only about half of the private bookings are declared currently; which is absolutely pathetic. Imagine how many people you're pissing off aside from me. How do you expect to cultivate customer loyalty this way? 2. Your restroom facilities..... it's like what you find in a derelict stadium from the 60s. My god. It's gross in there. A huge update is needed. But I guess you're holding out hope that facility can be booked by Hollywood for it's next horror-slasher scene. 3. Your bar program. Are you serious? The same cocktails and same EXACT beers on rotation since you first opened years ago. You're in the heart of the beer capital--SJ use to have 20+ breweries until COVID and Gen-X+Alpha killed it. With all these amazing local producers, you do nothing to support them and source beers that people would love to try. The lack of a bar program is abysmal. Forget missing out on pleasing your patrons with amazing choices. Think about how much money you could be making. I look at your space, the amount of traffic you're getting; and all I see is how you utterly dropped the ball. Talk to any restaurateur/entrepreneur, and they'll tell you how massively you're dumping potential profits. Amongst the various communities that frequent your joint, we all openly hate your bar, and wish it could be expanded: both in size to reduce lines during peak hours and more offerings 4. Acoustics. You've done very little to dampen echo in a building with nothing but hard surfaces. There's never truly a sense of comfort since our ears are constantly assaulted. While there are many other issues, these are the most critical that need to be corrected. The amount of people that I've brought here and met randomly always share the same conclusion: this place is cool, but it could be so much better. As courtesy and creating space for communities that need it, I'll remove this review if you at least address half the issues. We all like you. But just do BETTER. You don't even have to do it for us. Trust me, you'll make more money.

Occasionally you will have a couple people who come into this league knowing how to play volleyball but are there anyways for a ego boost. If you are new to volleyball, read here. Yes this league may be a good starting point as it's very beginner level play, it's good for work teams and meeting new people. But you won't want to be here for long. There are the occasional try-hards that will come into the league to feel good about themselves by hitting hard and running plays on a net that's lower than women's height. Another downside is that some of these players think they can play but in fact they are very dangerous and make it very unsafe. Landing under the net and causing ankle sprains when you block is very common here. So play smart, watch out for others. If you have some volleyball experience and understand the game, read here. This league is very poorly ran. You have one ref that does not understand the rules of volleyball. No calls are made, clear doubles where the ball is spiraling, crazy players who jump and land under the net, players touching the net and lifts. You call your own lines, so in and out calls are all on you and the other team. The ref literally is there to just blow the whistle for serve and then flip the score. They dont even have anyone setting up the nets for you as well, so you need to set it up yourself. The net is literally lower than womens height. So if you're here playing with some new friends who are learning to play, have some integrity to play to the level of others and be safe. I played in this league before it became Zog (Dynamic sports) id say it has changed but not for the better. Same stuff as it was 5-6 years ago. If you are looking for some better play there are other leagues out there. Campbell Community center used to have a good one they may or may not still be running. Then there's IVL if you're looking for competitive play. Zog by far is the most expensive league and the total amount of games you play in the season is less then all these other leagues I mentioned. So if you're factoring bang for your buck. Zog is definitely not that.

Anyway, their customer service is also bad and it's disappointing given their high price tag, which is usually 50 or 60% higher than the local city run leagues for usually 33% less games.
