I really do love this place I have been here for over 6 years I get my nails done on occasions which is often because I always have something I have had many great experiences but this time the lady that did my nails was not I she couldn't do acrylic flowers and keep trying to make me get flowers gems like on my middle because I eventually saw how she did her acrylic flowers on my pinky they looked like blobs of white I got my nails done Wednesday and they fell apart that Friday the flower stencils on my middle finger either completely fell off or broke both of my pinky fell off mind u this is not even 2 full days after and she forgot top coat on one of my nails causing the paint to be funky which i fixed myself I also tried to call and let them know but there phone does not work I like almost half and hour away I am going back tomorrow Monday to see if they can give me a refund or redo these again I don't blame the place I blame the lady that did my nails that day read more

As other customers have shared, the service here is disappointing. To be transparent, I'm writing this review based on an experience my mom had. Back to the issue of customer service here - these technicians are more likely to tell you to take your business elsewhere rather than admit their mistake. And I get it, the service industry is rough. Usually, the lack of respect and appreciation comes from customers. But here at Chi nails they don't work to please you, they work to keep their front open. To depict the narrative, my mom was one of the first customers on a busy Sunday morning. She actually got to the shop 20 mins before they opened, and they told her to come back at 9. After going across the street for a coffee, my mom returned shortly after 9. Despite stations being open, my mom waited 15 minutes before they sat her for a pedicure because they weren't ready to start for the day. My mom has been to Chi before, and familiarized herself with one of the technicians - Judy. Unfortunately, Judy wasn't available, so she told my mom her cousin would take care of her pedicure. Throughout the entire experience, the technician was weary and hesitant with her service. My mom said she felt the technician didn't know what she was doing. So my mom asked Judy what was up. Judy shared that her cousin was visiting from New York and didn't have her cosmetics license yet, but she was learning. Rather than asking for an experienced technician, my mom stayed quiet. But because my mom asked for a french tip, and it turned out so uneven and sloppy, she asked Judy to touch it up. My mom kept saying the line was too thick, and uneven, so a couple of the technicians kept going over to look at her toes. After 3 people touched up the white tips, my mom still kindly tipped Judy's cousin. That's when my mom got hit with a "don't come back here, you're too picky". When my mom told me this I was flabbergasted. I mean I know nail spots in Alief generally don't give a shit, but I had never heard of a shop telling a customer not to return. Now I'm not the only person sharing this narrative so look, if you still decide to come here, despite how many reviews have mentioned how terrible the service is, that's on you. The only positive thing I can share is that my mom only paid $18 for her white tip pedicure ($15 for a pedicure, + $3 for white tips). read more

This place is great. Got the first 4 stars just for the environment. The place is clean and hella quiet. Massage chairs are state of the art (In my opinion). Everything in this mug look new. The staff is super friendly and very chill. They speak in Vietnamese to each other but for some reason I can tell they're not talking shit about customers the way other salons are. The final star was because it was cheap af ($15 for basic pedicure and 20$ for second tier) and they didn't try to up-sell me. I paid $25 total for shellac polish and a design including a $5 tip because they looked really great at first. Here we are not even 3 whole days in and they're peeling and chipping!! I should've known better. You definitely get what you pay for here..... Second red flag was the roaches that literally fell out of the pamphlet with the prices at the front register. Their service is okay, but when I was sitting by the entrance getting my toes aired by the machine, the ladies working there kept staring at me and my aunt and my aunt noticed it and told me hey they keep staring over here and I can also hear them laughing. And they're still laughing while one of the ladies say "oh we said you have a lot of hair, pretty hair" ... like why would a bunch of employees all gathered up just stare at us and laugh at us? New location and I just wanna say that I totally enjoyed my very first visit. I did not have to wait, the staff was very nice and guess what? they understood everything I wanted to get done. Prices are very, very low and I must say that the service was great, manicure and pedicure for $23 plus a free design. Plus they have the "a to z" kinds of nails and designs I specially enjoyed the pedicure, I had a sugar foot scrub included in the basic pedicure done by Tom. I'm a person who usually gets her nails done quite often and I always go for a specific shape and size. (Coffin shape and quite long) First of all, I know that when I get my nails done, it doesn't take more than an hour. I was there for almost two hours, because the guy kept messing up. I went in at 5:45 and he didn't finish till about 7:35 ish. Secondly, he didn't have a nail filer so he grabs one from the massage chair, where they do pedicures. I was honestly disgusted but still, I stayed quiet. When it hit 7'o clock, he realized what the time was, and he started to rushing, in the process cutting me many times, I even told him to slow down and he wouldn't, so I'm there just taking in the pain. I know for a fact they knew I wasn't happy, just by facial expressions. Thirdly, the lady took my card and said "I'll charge you 18" and I'm like okay, and the guy said something in Vietnamese to her, and she says "no it's $25", confused, I ask why? She says "because he cut and shaped your nails". I looked at my nails and they are in no shape or form, coffin. I was extremely peeved off by this time. He finally painted my nails and I left. Sooo I was looking for a place I could get my nails done. I really dislike waiting and sitting around in nail shops all day so I prefer setting an appointment or arriving as soon as they open. I found this place on yelp & it states they open at 9. I arrive at 9:05 AM, all the lights are off & not one car in the parking lot. It is not a holiday, and today is a Tuesday so I'm a little confused as to why they are not open. If you are operating a business make sure you're there to actually open your store. I highly doubt the customer service is any good considering the fact that nobody even bothers to open the shop so I'm kind of glad They we're not open. Maybe went out of business.
