    Soooooo good!

Small hidden gem! We were craving some Asian food and this placed nailed it. Authentic Chinese with a twist of Thai flair! Yum!

We were looking for dinner a bit late on a weekday night and had just been turned down by another restaurant when we came to Chez Zhong. They were also about to close but took pity on some tourists and their 5 year old. They kindly took our order and helped us navigate the menu. The food was delicious and very well packaged in a cute reusable tote. The young waitress was really kind to our daughter and they refused a tip. Highly recommend!

We visit Paris in January, 2024. Our hotel is near the Ave de Kleber, close to the Eiffel Tower and the Parvis Des Libertee et des Droits the most popular platform to see and take pictures of the Eiffel Tower. My daughter wants to eat Thai Food so we found Chez Zhong on Yelp and it's close to the place we wanted to see the Eiffel Tower sparkles every hour for 5 minutes. The restaurant is very nice and clean, well decorated, quite small, not many tables but the seating arrangement are quite good. There weren't many people in the restaurants so we had a table right away. My daughter sees so many dishes that she wants and orders all the spicy ones which some of them need to be put out with water LOL. Anyhow, the food here is quite tasty, the only thing I would recommend the chef to do is to make it hot (hot not spicy). All the plates came out warm or cold especially the dish with cornstarch looks soggy although the taste is there. I like restaurants with hot foods when they get to me. All the dishes are a little small for the price, but this is on the main ave of the city, so I understand the cost of the place is higher. Anyhow, the prices are not expensive nor inexpensive due to the size of the plates. The quality of the food is excellent, very tasty, very delicious even with warm and cold temperature. My daughter and my wife love the food, I do like it too although I hate cold food. Will we come back here again if we visit Paris, may be not, I would try some new places with hotter food and not as spicy? If the plates are hot, then it wouldn't bring the temperature of the food down so fast from the kitchen to the table?

Craving for asian food and found this place. Overall the food was great and good portion. It's not a very big place but service is very quick.

The food was insanely good, very good food and I would definitely recommend. The service could have been better but overall the atmosphere and the food was supreme.

Wow, what an amazing recommendation from our Hilton, this place is great, we were super impressed with the fast service, which is rare for Paris, and the quality of their very fresh food, totally loved this place

While on vacation in Paris my wife and I were pleased to find this restaurant down a side yet crowded street near the Champ de Mars. We were greeted promptly with menus that had English included. We started with shrimp spring rolls that were very good and we learned to wrap them in the provided lettuce leaves for an even better consistancy. Next we enjoyed an assortment of dim sum the tastes were varied and well prepared. I also got wonton soup Broth was a little light for my taste but a nice soup. Our entree included beef and broccoli which had a mild flavor in the meat but broccoli was very tender. We also got the pineapple shrimp fried rice served in a pineapple shell. This was the winner of the meal. Our beverage of choice was the hot lemon tea which went well with the entire meal. Would eat there again definitely

So we wanted Chinese food in Paris to see how it compared to the US. I have to say we were disappointed. The restaurant itself is small and we literally had to move the table to all get seated properly. We ended up ordering fried rice and mapo tofu with a steamed dumpling appetizer. Now I'm assuming in the US our portion sizes must be very large. We assumed incorrectly it was the same way here and only ordered those three dishes. What came out would equal one and a half of a meal in the US, which three of us shared. We considered the price and figured we could get crepes later anyways. All dishes were surprisingly bland...all of is agreed that my mapo tofu I make is much better. At the end, we didnt complain as it was more about the experience than anything else. If you want some chinese food check them out, but temper your serving and palate expectations accordingly!

The food was decent and the service was unusually fast. We had ordered and were eating far sooner than any other restaurant we visited in Paris. Much appreciated when you're out playing tourist. And they have apricot juice. I'd never had it before. It was wonderful.

Not impressed but glad we finally tried. I've been wanting to try this place since arriving and learning that it was near our hotel. The past few times we wanted to try they were closed. Came in today for lunch and greeted and seated very promptly. Waitress cam right over with menus, although didn't speak any English when we asked. We ordered the fried dumplings but were given the steamed which we let pass since not sure how we'd explain that they were wrong given she didn't speak English. Also ordered the ma po tofu and fried rice to share between the 3 of us. Which In the US, this would've been great but here portion size is NOT the same lol. Let's just say we left hungry despite lunch being over $40 Euro. The dumplings were served with a hot sauce instead of soy sauce for dipping which I was not a fan of. The fried rice lacked flavor and well the ma po was good but my hubs makes it so much better.

Decent prices for Paris, €12 for pad Thai (it's not called pad Thai on the menu, it's called Thai noodles, just ask). It was definitely not very sweet compared to the Pad Thai I have had in the USA but still good! I thought it was a pretty normal serving size, my husband is still hungry after his but he's always hungry. Our waiter was very kind and understood English excellently. Someone next to us ordered some kind of shrimp plate and it came out on a sizling cast iron tray and smelled amazing.

Great place to have lunch, clean nice restaurant in Paris, nice to reset your taste after all the French bakeries. Nice for a change.

Great place to eat close to Trocadero and food is great, clean, fast. This place is something you Must do !! to reset taste after all the sandwich and French fries and sauces.

Food lacks flavor. Had to ask for everything twice which was annoying. Im talking essentials, chop sticks, a plate, water.

It's a small restaurant in Montparnasse, and we fortunately were able to walk right in for an early dinner. They had to pull a table back so we could scoot into a corner booth. The menu is extensive and includes wontons (raviolis), soups, and noodle dishes. Everything looked amazing and the restaurant smelled so good. We ordered the wontons as an appetizer, soup Lamen with beef, soup with shrimp dumplings, lamen with pork and Lamen with beef. We only waited about 8 minutes and steaming hot food was placed in front of us. Our entrees made it out before our appetizer but we didn't mind. Portions were very large and the noodles were chewy, fresh and delicious. We loved every item we ordered. We came back later in the trip to order takeout since the line for tables was so long. Some Chinese restaurants are like "Return to the Future". You can remember some of the dishes that were tasted during the 1980s, in some of the factory-crafted establishments in Shenzen when it was just a small village in SEZ, while on your Walkman you listened to Footloose or She's a maniac. Well here, nothing has changed. A long menu without ending makes you wander between multiple specialties that could make you think that Asian cuisine is uniform. A more than courteous service plunges you back into the antediluvian cliché of so-called Chinese obsequiousness. A grilled meat platter wriggling fat reminds you that your laundry is your best friend and Roberval haunting your spouse. (I know, Roberval, these are scales with two plagues, not scales-person, but I found it pretty in the sentence. We will say that it is a poetic license ...) Obviously, you will not avoid the cups of Mey Kwei Loo with the naked woman at the bottom ... Some restaurants provide the man in situation. But given the ambient susceptibility of our time, we must be careful not to offend anyone by presenting a conventional anatomy that would not be their favorite ... So if you want to go back (without actually eating bad, do not misinterpret) in a bygone era when the USSR still existed, where the association between a pencil and an audiotape was obvious, in a time where the boss of the video-club (what is a video-club?) you charged fee when you had not rewound the video-tape, go to the Trois Bonheurs. Great Scott! Bill of 79,10 euros for 2.

Though located right across the street from Le Bon Marchė, this establishment retains much of its homely atmosphere from its initiation 27 years ago. Tourists and local first-timers are usually surprised by how the amiable owner couple are well acquainted with everyone else that walks in. Some seem to regard the place as a family dining room. Such customer retention results not only from the hospitality, but also from the quality, albeit a tad pricey (prepare for 20-25 Euro p/p if you have a hungry stomach to fill). A few words before jumping into specific dishes. If you prefer less oil/salt/sauce, PLEASE ASK. The staff is much accommodating. If you cannot stand even a hint of grease or care much about clean and artistic plating, please avoid eating in common Chinese restaurants. Maybe you can try Li Imperial Cuisine (and pretend that you have just gorged the best Chinese cuisine when faced with a €80 p/p bill). Recommended dishes - Sizzling shrimp with bamboo shoots, mushrooms and onions on an iron plate. Shrimps are seared with spices and become even more ambrosial when they sizzle on the hot plate. - Wok fried beef with ginger: beef is tender enough, and ginger helps keep the flavors balanced. Besides, ginger is your best friend in summer. - Chicken thighs with basil spices: the outer sprinkled with spices and wok-fried to crispy, inside hides the juicy thighs. Yum yum! - Pork Shao Mai (Siu Mai): Succulent pork enveloped by smooth dumpling skin. The best we have tasted at this price range in Paris (€4.5 for four. Sure Shang Palace's is even more authentic, but the price more than triples) - Wok fried any sort of vegetables (cabbage, water spinach, string beans): hot vegetable always invaluable to a native Chinese. Some general notes on our reviews on Chinese restaurants outside China. We never base our reviews on meaningless comparison between these establishments to their counterparts in China. Instead, we value authenticity in terms of ingredients, styles and repertoire among their peers in the local area. In other words, if a restaurant is more "native Chinese" than most others in its base city, it deserves a Five Star, whether it is a family-run canteen or a Michelin Three Star.

It's a bit of an overwhelming choice, but it's a fun problem :) Service is efficient and smiling, even extending to patient as people invariably linger trying to decide what to choose, no one ever rushes you or scowls. The place is filled with local regulars and a few random tourists who wander over from the catacombs nearby; keep in mind this Chinese restaurant keeps French hours, so it closes in the mid afternoon between lunch and dinner hours. Everything is incredibly fresh, with popular dishes coming out from the kitchen to replenish the sold out ones, and with a brisk take out business, the line moved quickly. Everyone orders and pays; if you are eating in, go sit down as you wait for your order to be brought to you, otherwise you wait by the register for take out. Menus start from about 6 to 15 Euros, or you can simply get dishes by weight. I chose three shrimp dimsum, which were light and tender, although I found the har gow dough a bit thick. I got a side of vegetables instead of rice, and doctored it with the sriracha and soy sauce on every table (I was ecstatic to find sriracha bottles on every table in Paris). For my main course I got 300 grams of the spicy shrimp, which were actually a bit spicy! For future reference I will get 150 grams since I had a hard time finishing this portion after the dim sum and the vegetables. Another day, another choice, this time I chose garlic chicken with a glass noodle side, both of which were wonderfully done and not a bit greasy. I liked this place so much I went back for yet another meal, this time the sauteed beef with peppers (not the spicy kind), vegetables, and plain rice.
