When you walk into Chez Tong, it's pretty clear what you're getting yourself into- cafeteria style microwaved food that blankets many different asian cuisine. There were Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese menu items from what I saw, and none of them were really "authentic" to the actual dish. That said, it tastes good, in a delightfully junky way. I ordered the Bo Bun with chicken, which took them 4 or 5 minutes to prepare. Needless to say I received beef instead, but it didn't matter because the best part of the dish wasn't the meat anyways. Under a little layer of meat was a delightful medley of noodles, bean sprouts and above all ACTUAL SPICE! There was nothing better than soaking the spring rolls in the sauce to get them a little soggy and spicy. Finishing my meal off with a little cup of lychee was perfect, too. If I go back I think I would order the same thing without any meat. read more
