The cue is also a rather tight squeeze so you sometimes have to wait for a customer at a till closer to the door to finish up before you can leave as well which can get awkward at times.

Otherwise, boozing it up isn't at the top of my list as a tourist. While checking out the Westboro area for the first time with a friend, we dropped by this LCBO to check out the booze. It was also hot outside. Hitting a liquor store where everything is nicely chilled would, in turn, make us chill... haha! It's a huge store. I loved seeing everything from Blackfly vodka frozen grapes, to hard iced teas. I especially loved the latter. It's where I tend to be at any liquor store. It's fun seeing new products. I also loved looking at the beer section. The artwork on beer, especially locally crafted, is incredible. I like the occasional beer that has unique flavours, especially fruity notes. The rum section was cool. I love coconut rum and coke now and again. It's nice taking mental notes on the next bottle of coconut rum that I should get. My friend shared her story about drinking for the first time. It had an element of quietly breaking a rule to get her first sip. So scandalous! My first drink story is dull and boring in comparison. I was of legal age (19 years old). I had a Monte Cristo (Grand Marnier and coffee). I was fine. I look back and the orange liqueur makes sense. I like fruity flavours in booze. The fact that I'm not a huge coffee drinker to this day and I chose this coffee-based drink is amusing to me. The cooler section also appealed to me. It was nice seeing familiar brands, such as No Boat on Sundays. It was enjoyable browsing in this store while cooling off from the heat. This store has a lot of variety. Having worked in retail in college for yearrs, at least a hello or smile or even stop sweeping for a second to assist in the lineup of a dozen customers. Fire these people.

The lady stocking the shelves was super helpful and friendly, which definitely bumped this up from 3 stars to 4. The place is not very big and kind of has a weird layout. I wasn't able to pick up the exact ciders I wanted but I was able to find others I like. I was able to pick up all the 4 different types of beer my roommate wanted though. The lady working the cash was super friendly also, although it might have been nice if she asked me before stacking all 16 tall boys in one bag, it was a little heavy to carry and would have been nice if it was in two bags. Overall, the location has the basics of what you need but probably not some of the more specific things you might be looking to find. The staff is SUPER friendly though which totally makes up for not having the ciders I was looking for.

It's located right across the street from Carlingwood in the revamped Fairlawn Plaza. What makes this location so freakin' awesome? It's huge! It's size makes the selection great, and I have a bit of a sentimental attachment to it since it's were I first discovered pre-mixed Canadian Club and Ginger ale (SO convenient - right?!). Seriously though, the selection kicks butt, the staff are helpful and pleasant and it's brand new! What's not to love? Also, if you happen to be a drinking cyclist, they have a bunch of places for your bike (and they're used - a lot. I don't know how people have such awesome balance that they can bike home with a 2-4, but props to them). My only teeny tiny complaint it that they're only open till 9 p.m. most nights, but so are most locations that aren't downtown. Otherwise, thank you Ontario for this wonderful establishment!

We went at night, which probably wasn't the best idea. It was filled with people that were already drunk, or unshowered and still reeked of booze. Some were buying booze, while others were returning bottles and cans. They also sell ice for those of you that need it. The store is small and old school, so instead of picking up the beer yourself, you order your beer at the cash and they just wheel it through the conveyor-belt looking entrance. If you've ever seen one, you know what I'm talking about.
