Having been to China, and eaten NOTHING because their food was overly greasy and frankly unappetizing, this is a surprise.
I've also shunned almost all Chinese restaurants because the food is just not my thing (over sauced, deep fried, cheap ingredients.. ick).
The food is a lot like the Chinese food in Australia -- EDIBLE!! It isn't covered in a corn starched sauce that makes you wonder what that taste is, and the flavours are spot on. Not too spicy, not too bland.
It's a hidden, rough gem in Paris for decent food. When we go, we ONLY buy the lemon grass chicken brochettes (skewers). They are yummy and although expensive, when you eat them with a huge bowl of white rice and veggies, are very filling.
I am thoroughly surprised and impressed by this place. Well worth a visit if you are hungry and looking for good, cheap eats.
The family is very kind although sometimes I can't understand WTF they're saying in French OR English and there's an upstairs area to eat that is private. Very nice. read more
