***********DISCLAIMER**************** They haven't…read moreofficially opened yet, they open on the 5th of November. The were having a pre-opening training day with a set menu so... THIS REVIEW IS OF THE QUALITY OF FOOD ALONE!!! I am actually from western NY, within 50 miles of where Buffalo Wings became famous and every western New Yorker knows a good chicken wing and I have only ever found one place in the UK with good enough wings for them to remind me if home... But now I've found another!!! I've been seeing this business prepare for opening over the last few wings and when I realised it was an American Wing Restaurant I was so excited as it's right on my way home! The chicken wings were the right size, had the right crisp and succulence and the buffalo bliss sauce was reminiscent of the Anchor Bar(birthplace of buffalo wings) itself. I was given 5 wings and wedges in what I believe will be one of the menu items. It didn't come with Bleu cheese as standard (which might have been for the pre-opening event..idk) , but I didn't ask for it so I will make sure to do so next time. It did come with coleslaw, though...which I didn't really see the point of, lol! Oh yeah hey have burgers and per menu items, I'll unlikely be trying these soon as wings are now so close to home. Anyway, the opening is on the 5th of November and there is 20% off so I will most certainly be there to get some good wings again.., eventually when they are fully trained, I will update this on service too!

Used taste card here so had 50% off- I'd need more of a discount to go back…read more The menu was dirty and ripped which annoyed me instantly, but that's just a gripe of mine. For starter we ordered 'inferno wings' which were pretty dreadful. They were deep fried tiny winglets, with a pretty basic sweet chilli sauce on- not hot or fresh at all. Massive disappointment. I really dont understand why restaurants market something then try and fob you off with rubbish. The ribs for main were fine, nothing to shout about.

A bit of Awesome Americana in the middle of North East London…read more It's probably the last place in London you'd expect to have an american style diner but there it in.. in the middle of Southgate. With bright red diner style booths and rock & roll deco all that it's missing is a juke box. In terms of food and drinks.. I'd highly recommend their back back ribs.. you have a choice of 3 sauces: Brook's BBQ, Brook's Texas Spicy or Jack Daniels BBQ sauce. The ribs are amazingly tender and the meat came straight off the bones.. so no problems if you prefer knives & forks. But of course to truly enjoy baby back ribs you have to dive right in with your fingers. Oh yes they also serve soda floats (or spiders as some people call it) that brought me right back to my childhood days. Ok, so it may be a bit out of the way, but if you do live in North London and you are nearby Do give it a try I've been back there a few times already As Fat-Bast**d said in Austin Powers: Baby back, baby back, baby back RIBS!. Now get in to my BEL-LY!

Amazing breakfast and brunch/lunch!!…read more Tucked away off the main street, this hidden gem is super cosy and comfortable, perfect for sharing food, coffee and stories with a couple of friends. Fresh, super tasty and lots of rich flavours. We shared the vegetarian breakfast, pancakes with jam and maple syrup as well as the bread selection, all delicious! The cornbread is particularly tasty. I'd love a place like this in my own neighbourhood!

Every ounce of KrisKitch shouts "hand-crafted"…read more From the fabulous furniture - chat to the owner about where he sourced the butcher's block, the heavy wooden work benches and the retro chairs (it's astonishing that he didn't keel over after paying for the re-upholstery). To the delectable baked cakes and breads. Everything just feels so tactile and earthy. There's lovely light streaming in the huge front windows if you're sitting inside. Or sit out in the front in the sun. There are brollies in the summer and blankets in the autumn. Pointer - have the tea. Even if you feel like coffee, have the tea! Honestly it's an experience. An olive-wood board with a selection of painstakingly-sourced ingredients : honey, lemongrass, cardamom, fresh mint, cinnamon stick, the list goes on, and a pot of hot water. Yes, you have the option of using the dull little bag of tea leaves you ordered BUT you'll be sacrificing your ingenuity and an opportunity to create a flavour-extravaganza. Throw the bag away, you don't need it! Customers are overwhelmingly mums, grandparents and girlfriends meeting to natter. Recently I sat next to two laptops with people connected to them, but they're a minority.
