They wrapped our furniture and belongings extremely well, and we didn't have a single thing damaged. They also took the time to disassemble and reassemble furniture, which was a huge help. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and professional throughout the whole move. The only thing I would mention is that the move took longer than we originally expected. BUT honestly, I don't really see this as a negative because it was clear that they were taking their time and doing things the right way. We've had movers in the past who rushed, cut corners, and ended up damaging things, so I would much rather have a team take a little longer and be careful with our stuff. Overall, we were really happy with Albo and would definitely recommend them. Moving is stressful enough, so having a team that you can trust to actually take care of your belongings makes a huge difference!

I reached out via cell and Alex responded the same day asking for more info. I texted it all to him. The next day he emailed me a quote and laid out all the info. The pricing was very fair, and based on his quick response time and great reviews, I decided to hire them. I am very glad that I did. My move went extremely well. I hired 2 movers and a 20-foot truck. Eugene and Serg were great. They clearly communicated their arrival time and kept me updated via text. There were 2 pick up locations - my storage unit and my parent's house. They had everything from storage wrapped and packed into the truck in 2 hours. Then we went to my parents for a few more things, we were out of there in under an hour. They drove to Jersey City and then had the entire truck unpacked and moved in and all the packing material cleaned up in 3 hours. It was an extremely hot day and the guys worked really hard and very quickly. I could not be more grateful to Alex and his team for the excellent job, and I would definitely hire them again for my next move. I again gave the destination pickup/drop off and full inventory list. That was three days ago, no response. Honestly, how can you be a reputable company when you don't respond to client requests? If the job was something they didn't/couldn't do, the least they could do is tell you instead of ignoring you. If this is how they respond in the beginning then how are they going to be with managing your move? Danger, danger Will Robinson.

Nate sent me numbers and said everything had to be packed up and ready to go for his team. I asked if they could do one thing - wrap my furniture in blankets - and he answered "no, it's our policy not to wrap the furniture with pads prior to putting them in the truck, as it makes it very difficult to carry the items. I apologize that we won't be able to meet your specific needs and we will not be able to move you." I emailed him back, said I'd be OK with that (even though it wasn't ideal for me), and I haven't heard back. This was 4 days ago. Being a business owner myself, this is not how you treat a repeat customer. Based on this poor experience I would not recommend Smooth Moving Pros.

I'd recommend having a detailed moving inventory to ensure you receive an accurate estimate. The detailed inventory will also assist in identifying any missing items upon delivery. If you pre-pack, the movers can't be responsible if things get broken or damaged. The full value insurance should be included if the movers pack your shipment.

I have moved a few times during the past 50 years, but now at almost 80 yrs old, I have felt safe and relieved each time (4) hiring College Hunks Hauling Service. I submitted an insurance claim for over $4000 & they sent a check for $490. When I declined the…read morecheck & threatened to report them they fixed the urns and an Ethan Allen table set whose finish was ruined by storage blankets. The tables look good but the urns look like they have been broken & then repaired. These urns cost $800 each to replace. We paid for full value replacement insurance. Had they bothered to stabilize these heavy items in their truck, they would never have broken. They are at least now usable. They then sent me a new check for $260 with a request that I remove my yelp review. They stopped payment on the original check. Since my first post, I have discovered numerous missing items. I am left wondering what happened to them. All of the boxes have been unpacked. During our move they delivered several items to us that were not ours. We sent them back to their warehouse. I suspect they delivered some of my things to other clients or they damaged the boxes & items within so badly they decided not to deliver them and thought I wouldn't notice. Some of these items were important to me & cannot be replaced like carpet my grandmother made. So, yes they did make an attempt to repair the most expensive items. They have looked in the warehouse for the missing things & have no explanation as to what happened to them & they paid for 50% of the replacement costs for a few of the broken items. I have found many more broken things as I decorate for the holidays. So, I will not change my review from one star & I hope this review will help you decide if they are trustworthy of your items. We paid approximately, $12000 for them to move our things into storage, then a $1200 a month storage fee for 10 months while we waited for a new home to be built & a final $10000 for them to move us out of their storage facility & into our new home. I just expected more for what we paid and the insurance claim I submitted was a fraction of what we paid to them. I just cannot recommend them to anyone.
