We came here to stop for gas. The inside was clean bathrooms were clean and a lot of snacks.

First attendant when I walked in was super friendly, a helpful smile on a long drive is always lovely. When I came out of the bathroom the new guy at the counter was fairly indifferent. Indoor bathroom that was clean and had no key, nice. There were snacks, beer, and drinks with only a small amount of packaged more "meal break" type snacks. Prices were fairly decent for being an off freeway station. Alright, alright. read more

Not sure what I would do without this Chevron in Willows, It's the only place I go to fill up gas and it's so conveniently located on the side of the freeway as well as on the way to Thunderhill Raceways. The protocol is usually, fill up gas, drive to track, fill up half day again (thankfully it's only 6 miles from the track!) and then fill up again to go home. The bathrooms are nice, the shop is stock full of energy drinks I need to get home after a long day at Thunderhill and generally speaking it's clean and works well. I like it. read more

Bees to Chase & Honest Ade to Drink This station and shop has friendly service, a great selection of snacks and drinks, and an acceptable indoor bathroom which was not scary. ATM and yummy selection of ice cream bars for those hot days on HWY 5. The most exciting thing is they carry Honest Ade Orange Mango juice drink (by the makers of Honest Tea) love it so much and can't find it anywhere near home yet. Not too sweet, refreshing and with a touch of tropical, fabulous love it! This is a great place to stop for gas when you're in town for Thunderhill. Their pumps are grade specific so you don't get a hose full of regular before your premium starts flowing. Staff were friendly and they have a nice, clean store with a ton of snacks to choose from. And you can't go wrong with Techron! read more

I just stopped by to stretch my legs on a road trip and the manager here (I think he was the manager?) was so friendly. I overheard him giving someone directions and even though our interaction was limited he was pretty pleasant. I don't know, it was just nice to hear a welcoming voice. read more

Here's my current peeing protocol that I apply to most public restrooms, especially at service stations: Kick the door open, use the urinal, kick the flush handle, and leave. Touch nothing with the hands, or at least as little as possible. If that seems like it's coming up short in the area of personal hygiene, so be it -- that's why God made sanitizing hand wipes that you can keep in your car. I assume that I'm cleaner upon entering than anything I might come into contact with, and I'm going to continue rolling with that, especially in restrooms that look like someone had explosive diarrhea a month ago, and the proprietors are letting it take care of itself. My no-contact policy doesn't work too well for the ladies, I know. So when TL says that the ladies' room at this Chevron is gleaming, spotless, and smells freshly bleached, I weigh that for what it's worth. After all, the gasoline is commoditized and regulated, regardless of that bullshit about that "Techron" fairy dust making it superior. Gas is gas. This isn't a review for their gas, but for the shop they have there. We bought a tub of $6 Haagen Dazs and was disappointed to find that it had been melted once and re-frozen. It was icicle-y all over. Bleh. We threw it out after 2 bites. Other than that, the people there are really friendly and they have a nice selection of drinks, snacks, coffee, and an ATM inside. read more

Located next to the Black Bear Diner and across from a Shell station, this is a great place to fill up if you don't want to venture far off of I-5. If you're heading north, just take the exit and a right- you'll arrive right at it. It wasn't busy when we stopped here, so we filled the car up quickly and washed the windows before heading back on the road! read more

Narrowly escaped this gas station with my life. Seriously. Apparently a horrible plague of locusts (words cannot explain adequately how many there were) lives here. Pulled in for gas, tired and desperate (Waze incorrectly told me this was the only station for several more miles) only to be greeted with gas $0.40 over the average price for the area, and a huge swarm of bugs. They were in my hair, clothing, crawling into the car... I am not a wimpy girl and this place made me want to scream. It was so bad that the people who pulled in after us were freaking out about the bugs, too. I mean, this was incredible. I wish I had possessed the wherewithal to snag a photo, because no one will ever believe how completely terrible this was. Unfortunately I was too busy trying to fill my tank up and fight off thousands of bugs. I hate this Chevron. The owners (I'm sure they're lovely people) should just burn it to the ground. read more

When it comes to a chevron gas station, one would expect quality, great customer service and smiling faces.... even though the prices are higher compared to other brand stations, sometimes all the prior mentioned benefits are worth it... not at this chevron though... employees always seem depressed and only want to help because they "have too" old out of date equipment throughout the store... the even took out the electronic doors and put in some really cheap manual open doors... but customer service is bad there... I wouldn't hire their employees to wash my windows... no good that's for sure... they need to get rid of the current staff and replace with people who appreciate having a job... read more

Good prices for gas, especially next to a race track. Easy trailer access, especially for my novice skills at maneuvering a truck/trailer. Stock up on the Aquafina bottled water. They usually have a 2 for 1 special on it. read more

I don't know if ownership changed from the positive reviews, but when I stopped there there was a super long wait for the restroom and the gas gave much worse mileage than normal for my car. It dropped over 8 MPG despite no change in driving. read more
