Do not come here. While you might think that an old service station would have great customer service you'd be sadly mistaken. I took my business elsewhere as these people are rude, inefficient, and don't care about business. I'd recommend Jiffy Lube on San Pedro before coming here ever again! I called ahead to get a state inspection and the gentleman told me to be there at 11am so the inspector would be there. I arrived at 10:50 to get my truck inspected. Upon arrival I asked where they would like me to pull into or park at. The old man with an accent angrily told me to go park somewhere and get in line. After parking they would not let me inside the waiting area as they had 3 employees sweeping it. Granted they had no cars in the service bays and no employee was working on anything. When asking what the wait would be I was told that nobody knows could be 10 min could be 45. I told the old man that he was being very disrespectful and needed some customer service and he angrily walked away. read more

Zero stars. I will never be taking my car here again. I had an issue with the oil pan and they replaced it.... poorly, and for quite a lot of money. Two months later and all my oil has leaked out and my engine overheats on the highway! Now I have to replace my toasted engine because they didn't actually fix my oil tray. They overcharged and can't fix things correctly, costing me MORE money. read more

The customer service her is absolutely in point. These men treat everyone with respect and go out of their way to help everyone. I cam in with an automotive issue and they found out that I had a recall that I had not been notified about! So instead of me paying them a couple thousand dollars, they made sure it was covered and I was towed to the nearest dealership. These people are honest and dependable. The guys that work here are very friendly. We didn't use to stop here much because they were always higher-priced than the other area gas stations. But now they tend to match and are sometimes lower than the others. I believe the station owner is related to Taco Taco right next door, where the tacos are good, but not 'best in America'. Anyway, the gas station is OK. read more

Need something removed from my tire, pretty simple job. Three guys at the station one was doing paperwork, the other said he would help me, the other that the guy doing paperwork, said would help, first picked up some things in the garage, swept the garage, got some water, then got a soda. I asked the guy at the desk if I was going to get help and he pointed at the guy. He came over took the tire off, the a customer drove up for gas and he left my time on the floor of the garage to help other customer. Guy at the desk couldn't be bothered. I went in today on my lunch hour to get a state inspection for registration. The elderly gentleman with the accent told me it would be 45 minutes. I told him I was on my lunch hour and would have to go somewhere else. He got mad at me and started arguing with me. "It's only 45 minutes, why can't you wait". I told him I didn't have time, but he kept arguing with me until I got in my car and shut the door so I couldn't hear him anymore. He was an angry man. I won't go back for my other car next month. read more

As a new resident of San Antonio I'm so glad I came here for my annual vehicle inspection. The staff was friendly & informative. They made sure to give me the proper paperwork as my car was last registered in a different county. I was in and out quickly and they didn't try to nickel & dime me into unnecessary repairs which is the main reason I hate doing anything car related. Loads of seating inside and outside. They also have cold drinks for sale. read more

This auto center is quaint, old-fashioned, and the men are super friendly. I love the full-service option and dial pumps. That being said, I will never go here again because they overcharged me for a USED part!!! I was told the part was new (for nearly $600, it should have been!), and 2 weeks later I began having the same issue with my car that had supposedly been fixed. I had my car towed to their station once again; te owner was very apologetic and promised a fix at no charge. When I picked up my car a few days later, I hadn't even pulled out of their lot when it died AGAIN. Third time's the charm apparently and it was finally fixed. The mechanic made it sound like my car was SO difficult to fix (uhm, it's a pretty basic American-made model!), but this is no excuse for TWICE putting faulty parts in my car. Car owner BEWARE, especially if you don't know a lot about cars. I lost all trust and confidence in this station! read more

They caught my car on fire! Jim worked on my car in May 2017 to add freon and flush the radiator. He left a rag on the exhaust pipe. This caused the car to catch on fire. I now have to buy a new car and am lucky to have not been injured. When I called the garage to tell them what happened, Jim told me I was lucky the insurance company was willing to pay me to total the car. He did not even apologize for catching the car on fire or ask if I was okay. While I do not plan to sue the garage for negligence, I highly recommend taking your car elsewhere. read more

This is NOT the place to get car inspection. They have inspection hours of 10-4 posted. But they only have one guy who does inspections and he is apparently not required to be there during those hours. Last year, it took 3 stops between 10-4pm to finally catch him there to get my car inspected. Today, I stopped in at 10:15am on a Saturday only to be told the inspection guy had just left for lunch and would be back in 45 min. I get it, that inspections are a pain and not good use of time that can be billed much higher for repairs. But it's poor customer service to offer stated hours for inspections and not adhere to them. I will NEVER go to this place for any kind of repair, let alone a car inspection. read more

Great service! Full service is supposed to cost a little more - because your getting a service. In my case , I can't look over my wife's car (time) the way I used to. My wife 'fired' me since she's been coming here - and that's alright. When they check the air in your tires - they also look for other things we don't even know to look for. They should charge more - if they add air - it's free. Tell me where air is still free! read more

There aren't many full service gas stations in San Antonio and this place is definitely old school. The pumps don't even have credit card readers. It is a must do before heading out on a road trip. The men working there will check and top off your tires as well as any fluids your car might need. The biggest plus is not picking up any wild germs off the gas pumps. Did I mention they also clean your windows? They also have a garage that can take care of any minor mechanical issues- including state inspection stickers. read more

Do NOT recommend! Stopped in to get my tire air pressure checked and license sticker, that I brought with me, replaced and was charged $8.00. When I asked why it costs so much I was told, by the owner, that they can charge what they like. And because I was a "new" customer I was charged more. So, for all new customers, be prepared to be ripped off! read more
