Anyway, the food mart appeared closed at 9pm (when I was there). The 76 Station itself is well lit, spacious islands, and my pump worked fine. However, the gas prices in St Helena are higher than the gas prices in the immediate SF Bay area. Located at Main St x Pope.

Normally I don't like most of those toppings but wanted to try the hot dog just as it was meant to be eaten. It came with a poppyseed bun. Four of us shared two dogs and it did not disappoint. Honor Bar is part of the Hillstone Restaurant Group which consists of Hillstone, Houston's Rutherford Grill, R&D Kitchen and more. The market itself serves affogato, has a variety of wines and beers, coffee and pastries. It's quaint yet trendy. $10 for a hot dog is steep but you'll know why it's worth it once you take that first bite.

Leave it to Lovie and his peanut bladder to pull over the school party bus to make a pee stop. Luckily, everyone was in the same boat with the pre-boozing en route to our destination. We pulled into this gas station with the lady worker being so gracious to us. She apologized she only had one unisex bathroom. With the 6-7 of us in line, it was an ungodly sight. Unfortunately the staff was not as happy to see me. I watched as the staff treated the other patrons with smiles and enthusiasm, however when I reached the counter I was met with a frown and a dry "Do you need help?" I pulled up my receipt from the online order, she turned and waked away. She returned with a box, sat it on the counter and walked away. I stood waiting because I was unsure if the order was mine. She returned with another box and huge smile asking the person next to me if he needed a bag. Meanwhile I'm still standing there. After she finished bagging his things she turned to me and said "Do you need anything else?" I asked if this was my order? She said yes and walked away. Needless to say, this location is not nice to blacks. I was the only black there amongst maybe 30 people and I was the ONLY one treated that way. Racism exists, at Gott Roadside in St. Helena.

There's only two islands and three pumps. Space is limited, so lines form as drivers must wait. Gas is pricey at this 76 station. The independent place across the street is only slightly lower. I would suggest you get gas in Napa or Vallejo before heading up here. The food mart is a well organized shop with everything a driver might need. Clerk was friendly and nice. I was impressed by the well organized coolers on the back wall stocked with beer, sodas, and a variety of other drinks. Nice gas station, limited parking
