I spent roughly $300 a week on groceries conservatively speaking. The pricing of the products are higher in the Summer and tourist season. This sucks for the locals but it is common with all businesses in Ocean Shores. I recommend shopping at Costco for your staples before going on vacation in Ocean Shores. It's not uncommon to pay almost $10 for a bag of chips. Just a warning. The service is a hit or miss depending on the time of day and season. The staff can get tired of tourists and not be as friendly. The selection is limited due to the remote location of Ocean Shores. This means if you are looking for special ethnic foods and vegetables, you maybe out of luck. Bring these items from home. I am SE Asian and the selection was lacking as far as fresh herbs and greens go. I was missing many sauces over the years for stir fry like sesame seed oil, hunan, and chili oil. I drove to Olympia for Jasmine rice purchased 100lbs at a time. The deli is pricey but there is only one McDonalds in town and no other fast food options. Most the restauarants are $20 or more per entree. Hence the deli fried chicken and warn foods will look less expensive. The JoJos friend chicken is popular along with the potatoes wedges.

To our "TOTAL SURPRISE", this bathroom was way cleaner than any Starbucks bathroom (Starbucks prides themselves on how clean their bathrooms are every single time). The bathroom was not only clean, but it smelled really clean and fresh. According to Ali (the owner), he prides himself in keeping the bathroom clean for his customers! Way to go Ali! We appreciate you very much, thank you for doing this. I know a lot of people don't think much of the service or staff that work at gas stations, but I do! They are people too and they too work for a living just as much as I/we do. You are no different than any other service provider out there. You provide a service that is in need to run our society and economy. Without you, where would we go, or how would we operate? But in a pinch or a hurry it's a great place to pick up something you need but do not want to drive far to get it. Clerks are very nice, store is clean and as much as it feels bad to have to spread the word, it's Closing. Their landlord gave them notice to be out of their location by the end of February, 2026. There are many other empty buildings up and down Commercial Street but I have heard nothing about relocating the store. As of yesterday, February 21, 2026 everything was marked down 40%. Looks like we can say goodbye to them soon.

Our water pump went out and we knew it was going to be hard to find a mechanic on a Friday night let alone a Saturday! Thankfully we had it towed to slates corner with in 5 minutes from calling a local towing businesses. Thankfully he could fix it! First thing Saturday morning he got the new water pump and began the repair. The kids and I sat in the store chatting with the owner Darletta and her daughter Lilly. They are amazing people, made my little family feel completely welcomed. Our car was fixed by noon and we were ready to head back on our first family vacation ! The cost of the repair was extremely cheaper then what we are used to. I could not believe the amazingly fast and friendly service we received! We will always stop for gas and snacks every time we drive on hwy 12 on our way to he ocean!
