This location,Chastain Meadows, near Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw used to be EXCEPTIONAL up until…read moreabout December of last year, at least that's when it became blatantly apparent to the many people who were loyal customers to this location and Company. All of a sudden there was no one there ... So not even a little bit of a normal situational issue to happen to an entire store especially when the Company is not a small "mom and pop shop or something within that realm. No notices as to the status of the business. I just kept driving, like so many other people, waisting my time and gas re-visiting the site and looking for an answer as to why the store was closed and what I could expect in the future? Well finally, one day, out of the blue, they opened their doors with a new staff, which I was extremely disappointed in, due to their poor performance in general, demonstrating no,if any, ability perform in a professional manner and demonstrate a level of competence, and most importantly a sense of pride within themselves and their own work. Now it's April 29th and I believe it was last weekend, could have been the one previous, and here we go again.. it was a Sunday, over an hour before the posted closing time and THEY WERE CLOSED! It's happening AGAIN ... My question to the Murphy Oil is how do you actually still manage to keep your Company from going bankrupt and losing everything if you're Chastain Store is an appropriate example of the expectations that you, the Company's leadership team are an example of your expectations and the Company's own failure to deliver a sustainable business plan that is more sustainable and effective in the actual field therefore the actual closing of an entire location would never have occurred and there would be contingency plans in place. Please, STAFF the store and have the store stocked and running during the limited hours that have been changed Thank you for your consideration and help. Also I do hope that whoever has the misfortune of Overseeing this Store that you have a new drive and a clear passion for creating a culture for your customer's experiences to succeed their expectations. Demonstrate the importance of achieving success by creating an authentic environment by engaging with your staff and customers. In this, you will be able to help build your team up through showing that you are capable and willing to do the same jobs that are expected of them. Lastly, the most effective and usually most challenging is staffing, hiring the right people, making training THE priority and take a vested interest in their future for their success is the MOST effective way for you, individually and the Company as a whole, to ensure success in b primary need of staffing and training the employees for success!

This small but recently remodeled Chevron gas station is located off of Arnold Mill Road next to a…read moreU-Haul Dealer and near Reformation Brewery. The Woodstock Fire Department is also nearby. The station has been here as long as I can remember and even though its sorta tucked away-it's not facing a main road or near the highway it can get quite busy at times. They recently remodeled the outside and now they all have brand new pumps, credit card swipers and gas station TV! Hurray. There are two entrances to this station. If you turn in where the U-Haul/Public storage place is just be careful because it's sort of a u-shaped turn. You can also turn in to the station by where the Arnold Mill Commercial Center Marquee is located. That's the entrance I recommend. If you want to get back on Main Street. No need to go back up on Arnold Mill Road where the light by the railroad track takes forever. Just go up to Dobbs Road (Woodstock Woodworks is at the corner) Stay on Dobbs and it dead ends onto Mainstreet. If you make a left-you can get back out to highway 92 (but you have to drive thru 25 mph downtown historic Woodstock) If you make a right you can go up to the next light ( Ridgewalk Parkway) Turn left there and it'll take you straight on out to 575. 1165th review 1/16/2018 85th for 2018

Every employee of every shift are familiar with me and we share friendly small convos everyday. However, there is one new Manager (Vanessa) who has often given rude interactions countless time...to name a few: eating chips and passing bags through the window with "chip dust" on her hands, talking on the phone, or having personal conversations with other coworkers without actually acknowledging the customer who is in her presence. This evening, I was having a small convo with another employee who was working the window about selfies after showing my ID in which he viewed (although he was familiar with me). I went on to tell him how I continue to show it because his coworker (Vanessa) was previously rude with me about it once before when I left my ID in the car (even after I went to get it). She then proceeds to butt into "our" conversation without being spoken too, talking loudly from the other side of the gas station with a sucker in her mouth. We continued to go back in forth, as I simply pressed the importance of customer service in the work place. With her being a manager, you would assume she would know better. Needless to say, I will never give another penny to this store not because of the other great customer service I've received over the years, but because of her crappy attitude. I've already reached out to corporate about her service, and plan on having camera footage reviewed after this incident. My only advice is if you hate your job, or if you don't enjoy working at your place of employment then it's probably best to find another gig...preferably one that doesn't align with the customer service industry. :-)
