The reason I say this is because on three different occasions over the span of just a couple of months I go to get me some Ben & Jerry's. We all know those damn little things aren't cheap with tax it's almost 7 Bucks, so I pay and go about my business. I get home ready to delve into the deliciousness and on three different occasions my ice cream is freezer burned to death!!! This isn't just a little freezer burn, it's like deep freezer burn to the point where the ice cream is fucking gross and nasty. I went to this location last night got my Ben & Jerry's came home and it was the same bullshit yet again so now I'm just officially not going to buy ice cream from this location anymore at all. The 7-Eleven on Garvey kinda next to Wienerschnitzel is the best 7-Eleven within in the Rosemead/Monterey Park area. They never have super freezer burned ice cream... And it's so bad that you feel like fuck I just dropped $7 on this and now I'm about to throw it away which I did last night because it was so gross. Either these clowns that work at this location have the freezer turned on too high, or the ice cream is melted and they put it in the freezer to freeze up again I don't know. The basic store is well equipped. Has all the stuff one would need. It's clean, the staff are professional, and they even have some little surprises like historical Manuels about the area, or cute little gifts for the kids. The place I always go - whether walking in or, more likely, the drive up - is the pharmacy. The young people who work there are friendly, professional, and helpful. I go so often, a couple of the young folks know me by name and ask how my family is, even though they haven't ever met them and only here about them from my inquiries and casual small talk when being rung up. I love that. I always am happy to swing by to pick up the needed meds, and I usually get a friendly smile and greeting in the process. I'm happy to patronize this location and feel it's one of the cleanest, friendliest, and most well equipped in the area by far.

This Chevron ExtraMile now requires customers to hand over their ID to purchase California Lottery tickets. When I presented mine, the senior cashier scanned it. I asked a simple question: "Is my personal information being recorded? If so, where does it go?" Her response? "It's company policy." I explained that, under the Privacy Act, I have a right to ask what information is being collected and how it's being used. I also pointed out that company policy doesn't automatically override people's legal rights or privacy concerns. Her final answer: "You can go buy your tickets elsewhere." Fair enough. But scanning and potentially storing a customer's identification just to sell a State lottery ticket seems like an awfully strange policy. I only wanted a chance to win the lottery--not an audition for a background check.

The pharmacists here are very friendly and fluent in Chinese and English. There is usually about 3 or more people working at a time so you get helped in no time. And they are always happy to answer and questions you have regarding the medication you have. They are very patient with their customers here as I can see them helping many older ones who has many questions. They also offer deliveries but I'm not sure the distance of the location in which they make their deliveries. This is a great pharmacy for older Asian folks who are not fluent in English. With the good service here, I am thinking about switching to this pharmacy myself.
