Chevron is usually a top tier gas. This location is the only gas station near the college and down the street from the University of Merced so their gas shouldn't be sitting in there tanks to long which means your not going to get old gasoline. They have a food mart and car wash as well. read more

Driving back from camping in Yosemite. Got a hot meal nearby and then got gas here. Decided to risk it and add a car wash. It was just before the 8pm cut-off for the free pre-wash and the gentleman did a great job, gave him a decent tip for that. The car looks great for post-camping. Damn! This place is well worth the extra money. Good wash and a tank full of Techron Supreme. I purchased $84 of 91 gas with my Fleetwide card and a $6 wash. I was expecting a simple wash your stuff and dry kind of wash. Nope. As I'm writing this, 2 guys are pressure washing 2 inches of caked on cow patty, horse maneur, and red dirt off my ranch truck. No cash or credit price difference Pumps were rocket quick. Did I mention they accept Fleetwide cards? Not sure about Voyager, WEX, or McFleet but I'm sure if you call ahead you can avoid confusion. Clean store and the wash is doing its job which is always a plus. Well worth the money. Will be back! read more

Cheveron has a great car wash service for under $10. Not only do they wash the car with a machine, but they have someone pre- wash the car for you. The prewash is a rinse and soapy brush down that prepares you for the machine wash. The hand wash makes it so the machine hasn't missed anything. Be sure to leave a tip for the pre washer. The only thing I can find that is lacking is the interior car work that they could do. No vacuuming or jasmine sprays. It would be nice for them to open up the car and wipe down the dash and leather. Oh well. For the price this is a definite best buy. Well done Chevron. Expect more business from me in the future. Again. Don't forget to tip the pre washer!!! read more

Prices are always 40¢ or more higher than all other gas stations in town. All gas comes from the same refinery, sad to see people use others for what little they have. Arco on G and Olive has the best prices in town, cheaper than Costco and no need for a membership fee. read more

Wow. I rolled up at 10am just thinking I was going to get a drive-thru car wash...Hah! This place has a guy standing at the entrance that will PREWASH your car for no extra charge! Literally- an actual human employee goes over every inch of your car with a hose n stuff for about 10 minutes before you ever drive into the actual standard drive- thru car wash. I was so impressed. My car looks great! This is gonna be my new place! read more

Terrible! A real mistake bringing my pick-up here. Aside from not cleaning very well, the dryer blower did very little to dry. For a part of the blower cycle, one of the driver side water nozzles was still leaking water onto the side. It left horrible water spots every where. The windshield was also left with soap marks, or something, running down most of the windshield. None of the machine's light system worked, and it looked old. It seems to me that this car was machine is poorly maintained. read more

Never again! I use to come here frequently for a car wash. Until I brought in my new car I bought 19 hrs after I bought it. I had showed the car off big time. Not to mention walked around it all by myself eyeballing it. It's a luxury sports car. Took it in, and they scratched the shit out of it above the driver side front tire. About 10 inches long!!! I calmly spoke to the main manager/ owner. Showed it to him and explained the situation in detail how I knew for a fact it wasn't there. He totally denied responsibility, but his conscious got him to say let me think about it over night. Because he knew what I told him made sense. He called me the next day to deny it again. Smh. I told him I'm a RN, I have no need to lie over something like this. Told him we both agreed we could spot it with the naked eye approx. 15-20 feet away. No way in the world was it there when I bought it or I would have chosen a diff same car or at least had the dealership buff it out before I took the car. And it for damm sure wasn't there when I showed it off to everyone, AND it wasn't there 30 min before I brought it in. (A drank a lg coffee circling starring my car watching an solar eclipse). I gave him my oath that what I told him was true to the T. Owner said he would take care of it if it was them. But denied they caused that giant scratch. 2days later my cousin told me that's what happened to his brand new black jaguar . They put giant circular scratches in his from having a rock in the sponge. The owner denied that too! Unfortunately I have to wash my car by hand because of this situation, which really sucks because I'm super busy. If your car Is old and you don't mind having it scratched come on in!! read more

If you need gas I would recommend going anywhere but here unless you Mike spending $0.80 a gallon more for gas than most other stations in Merced. Even stations in Sonora that are chevron are cheaper than this guy. He is a price gouger and you can find gas cheaper at any station around there. read more

As I was reading the reviews, I have a similar story to one of the reviews regarding scratches after the car wash. I had the same incident around 2-3 years ago with my 2003 Camry. After the wash, the passenger side of my car was scratched and the scratches are very noticeable to the point where there were scratches on my passenger windows as well. Also, I can assure you that there were definitely no scratches on my car on that side until the day I took it there for a wash after getting gas. I'm assuming I received the scratches after the guy used that big broom-bristle thing to scrub off some dirt around my car since I've been to a different Chevron Car Wash before without having a guy doing that to my car. I was livid of course, but I was on my way to go out of town at the time and if I would've complained to them, they wouldn't have believed me anyways since it IS a 2003 Camry. But yeap, I would definitely NOT recommend coming here for a car wash. You're better off going to Prime Shine, another car wash at a gas station, or washing it at home. If I could give it a no star I would, but nope, have to give it a something to post this. read more
