We are just so sorry that we had the potential to increase your sales for that day by 1,350% since you live out in the middle of friggin' nowhere and thrive on tourist traffic alone. Our apologies for taking up every bit of pavement in your parking lot waiting to give YOU business. When you came storming out of that silly cave yelling at us - with your saggy boobs swaying in the non-existent breeze - there was a reason we gave you the one finger salute. You're a very old lady who doesn't like us "street racers" or whatever-it-was-you-thought-we-were taking up spots for all the other tourists. Even if our cars are way more attractive than any Winnebago that passes through this gorgeous stretch of highway. Take it from me and about a hundred other car enthusiasts: send your money a few hundred feet south to the Chevron station where the owners were more than willing to give such a large group a discount and not bitch at us for (oh my god!) pumping gas.

However, in the back corner, they have a really nice espresso bar with delicious drinks. Pleasantly surprised by how delicious the mocha was. And the barista was so friendly and kind! You can also buy homemade fudge at the espresso bar. Their pumpkin fudge was incredible. Would've normally given this place a 3/5 as it's your typical general store, but that espresso bar was really unexpected and brought them up to a 4/5. Good stop for a coffee and a snack while visiting the area.

To our surprise was a nicely faux painted bathroom that was very clean. But the real reason for this review was the minority owner who was genuinely friendly with greetings and thank yous to all the customers. Wished every neighborhood had this kind of service.

The gas station is easy to find and not too far off the path from Highway 20. There are only a few pumping stalls and the station can fill up quickly. One of the neat surprises for us was that this gas station is setup similar to gas stations of yore. A worker comes out and pumps the gas for you instead of us pumping it ourselves. On display they had various antique gas station parts including a vintage gas pump. The attendant pumping the gas was friendly and warm. The experience spurred conversation between my mom and I as we drove home about how gas stations have changed. Turns out decades ago it was commonplace to have people pump your gas for you and clean your windshields as you waited. This Chevron is a reminder that not all gas stations have been sucked into mainstream tendencies. A gem of a place to fuel up!
