In long I've only ever stopped here for gas, which is what I can say about 99% of my experiences, ever, with gas stations. I essentially never go inside unless I'm on a road trip, and this place is local to me. A few months ago, they consistently matched the lowest prices in town, and I started making that mental note to swing in here when I was empty. Lately, the Strait of Hormuz is closed through no fault of mine or Shell's, and gas prices are skyrocketing. I didn't check the sign, and paid $0.20 more per gallon than the next-highest place around here. I'm pretty annoyed with myself for this, especially since I saw it $0.50 cheaper a couple hours later when I was picking up groceries. My bad. Gotta burn more awareness into my brain.

On a beautiful Saturday the Lynnwood locations car wash was unfortunately closed. Against our better judgement we went to the dreaded Alderwood location to clean our son's car. The car wash started and immediately the middle of the windshield cracked and then spidered into the entire windshield. We reported the incident immediately and took several photos. There was no manager on duty on a Saturday? We then contacted him first thing Monday morning. He insisted we drive the car back where he told us the crack was in the inside...hmm. I guess not only is he a weekday manager but also a glass expert. We have tried several times to get anyone (else) to return our calls to no avail and there is apparently no other manager to talk to at anytime onsite. Our insurance has told us they will not cover it as it is considered third party damage. Not to mention at time of purchase on the inspection of the vehicle no windshield damage was found. So my (Autistic) 16 year old is left with a car that is illegal to drive. Thanks Levine family, we will never use your company again. While pumping gas I noticed the sign. I went back inside to complain and was told by a clerk/owner I should have alerted him BEFORE I paid for gas. Really?! I was had. QFC and Fred Meyer always ask if I have a rewards card. Another Shell station asked if I had a rewards card. It's called being user friendly. It was only $30 worth of gas so not a big deal but nobody likes to be taken advantage of. Forewarned is forearmed. I will never go to this station again.

In long I've filled up here for 20 years off and on, and it has modernized a bit over that time. They consistently have some of the lowest prices around, though a couple stations occasionally edge them out (and Costco is virtually always #1 on price). 99 is pretty busy through here, and there's often a lot of cross traffic as well. Cutting across lanes to get in and out of here can be tight. Last night I saw a nice lady in an Infiniti wait to pull out for longer than it took to fill my tank and get back in my truck. There's often something busted here. I've gotten skunked at least half a dozen times due to broken card readers. Last night it took at least a minute before the reader recognized my card and started authorizing it--but it locked my card physically in the slot that whole time. Started to wonder whether I'd ever get it back. The pump handle itself didn't reset correctly after the last person used it, so I had to unblock it, flex it, and then try again before it finally started flowing. None of this is necessarily worth an extra few bucks a tank. You just stand there and shake your head for a couple minutes. But I'd certainly never trust the car wash here...lol

After recently changing insurance, we now pick up here. Every time I've driven through to pick up at the window, the line has been crazy long. They often have one person handling both the in-store and drive-through pickups. This is insane! Most pharmacies have several techs and a pharmacist working. One day last week the line didn't move an inch for almost 10 minutes. Fortunately, they offer delivery for a reasonable price ($3). That'll have to do for stuff we're not out of on the day they fill. It takes 2 business days, though. One other demerit: Their website does not let you send a question about a pickup (or anything else). Other pharmacies do, which saves you having to call once, fight through the phone menu, and then wait for them to call back. If they would add this to their website, it would let the employees answer the question when they can and then call you. They almost seem like they're purposely designing the work environment to drive their employees nuts. I asked the tech last night if they always make her work by herself, and she just laughed. I still can't figure out why that would be funny...lol

It's gonna be hit and miss for how long a line there is, depending on the time of day so we try to find time before or after the late day rush. Appreciate having express pay for a quicker checkout.
