I've been to this gas station quite a bit since I moved to this area in March, it's across the street from my house, super convenient. Didn't have a problem till I pulled up to fill up on a Friday after working two jobs in one day and having to pick up my teenaged son from his job, and was quite literally on E, 10:30pm at night when I paid through the app just like I always do, used Apple Pay to pay just like I always do... reached for the pump and the cashier on duty cancels the transaction and it says on the screen to go inside to speak to the cashier. I then have my son go in and the cashier tells him when he walks in "it'll be instantly refunded to my card" he tells me this when he gets to the car, cashier doesn't greet him, doesn't say why she cancelled it, just it'll be refunded. I drive off on E. Return the next day because I'm still on E and need to take my kid to work. I walk in this time and advise my money was not returned to me instantly show proof of it still pending, mind you I didn't tell the lady what pump I was at the night before but she said it, which I can only assume means she was the one my son had this interaction with. So then I ask for a manager speak to Jack who accused me of calling him stupid for asking why the transaction was cancelled and all he kept saying is we aren't stupid we can't cancel the transactions. I then say I never called you stupid I'm asking why was the transaction cancelled and for him to not cancel the transaction I now need to make, he then repeats himself again, in which I take a deep breath in and ask him to not cancel this transaction because I am not a baller! He then says if you do not get your money back by Monday he will personally return it to me VERBATIM! Now that being said I work two jobs I wasn't able to come back on Monday, I'm also a single parent. I returned the next Saturday which is quite literally TODAY, asked for the manager, Kayla says she is the assistant manager, I proceed to tell her what happened and advised still haven't received my money back and showed her proof she then calls Jack on the phone and he says I need to call my bank, now I did already because like I said I don't have time during the week to go inside of the gas station so I thought it be easier if Apple Pay just gives me my money back but Apple Pay says they can't do anything till after the 26th (original transaction was on the 15th) and if they don't cancel the transaction on their end they will report them. Now I then advised to both Kayla and Jack that I did call Apple Pay and then told them what Apple Pay said, in which he proceeds to tell me he watched me on the cameras get gas and I said I sure did the following day when I came in here which I told him I was going to do when I asked him to not cancel this transaction you know the same day he kept saying he wasn't stupid he can't cancel a transaction. I spent a different amount that day not the $70.28 they cancelled for no reason. Now they both have an attitude with me which I just want to add on both Saturdays when I got out of my car and walked into the store I did not act crazy, I did not disrespect anyone, I did not yell, I did not cuss, I did not act out of character. But I did keep saying he did say he would give me my money back personally on Monday. In which they respond with I'll give you the money back but you can never come back again! I didn't get I am so sorry for the inconvenience, still don't know why the transaction was cancelled, but now I'm not allowed to come back because yall stole my money and didn't want to give it back! But again not once did I act out of character or was disrespectful or unprofessional! Side note- Jack I drove down to my original gas station I used to go to before yours, and asked them can yall cancel transactions, in which they replied YES, when we think someone is being shady. I guess me sitting in my car exhausted from a long day, long week, long life-is Shady Jack huh! No worries tho I wasn't planning on giving you any more of my money anyways! This Chevron location can be found on the west side of Rainbow Boulevard, just a little south of Warm Springs Road. It's been open maybe just a little over a year, if memory serves correctly. (+) It's still got that new-convenient-store-smell to it! The store is clean but packed with a ton of products! Plenty of choices abound here! (+) Thrifty ice cream available at this location also. (+) The cashiers have always been nice to me at this location. I keep expectations moderate when it comes to minimart employees, but the employees here have always been polite and friendly. (+) They also have a small slots area here for what it's worth. (+) Plenty of gas pumps available also. What else is there to say? It's clean, well-stocked, and has friendly employees! Whenever I am heading southbound on Rainbow and I need to make a pit stop, this is one of the places I will go out of my way to go to! 4.5 solid stars! read more

Rude women work here early morning used to look at me like shit because me and my daughter used the microwave to get a normal meal from sprouts. One morning trying to use the bathroom before school and she told us we couldn't come there anymore. It wasn't daily use I wasn't using drugs just faced with hard times as a single mother. They got Thrifty's ice cream! $1.99 for a single scoop and they got your favorites here: mint & chips, cookies & cream, rainbow sherbet, pistachio, black cherry, cotton candy...the list goes on! Brings me back to my childhood. Gas station employees are pretty friendly too. Even though they're busy, they never showed how stressed they may be. This gas station is in a well-lit area...on a busy street too...it's on Rainbow Blvd, you can't miss it. Also, the few times I've been here to pump gas and/or get ice cream, there's no riff-raffs loitering or homeless begging for change. read more

I want to start by saying that I absolutely love this location for its customer service, snacks, and ice cream. I truly appreciate the staff. However, my experience late tonight was disappointing and unexpected. I walked in with my friends to get some late-night snacks and ice cream. When I approached the cashier, he refused to serve me ice cream. He explained that he had greeted us, but we did not respond. He also mentioned something about greeting someone else who didn't say hello. As an introvert with poor hearing, I didn't mean to come across as rude by not hearing the cashier's greeting. This guy was super rude to me and my friends as we were just playing and laughing, but there was people screaming in the market that were way louder than us. He's saying curse words as a cashier and his name is Jerome aka "Big Daddy" and was really rude telling us we should leave, but everyone else was being loud. This was also one of the POOREST customer service as he is purposely taking his time just to irritate us as well as helping everyone else out even though we got there before them. Arrived at 10:50, left at 11:30. I walked in and there was 4 people ahead of me for ice cream, that's fine with me I'll wait they were here first. What irritated me was when the cashier who worked July 1st 2025 at this time would work slower as more people came in. Then he started making the guy behind me ice cream first, when I realized he started making mine I didn't notice he put the wrong ice cream in mine, and when I told him about he tried to blame it on me telling me "why didn't you tell me first why didn't you say anything" in a rude tone. I just stood there cause I didn't know what to say when he messed up after asking me 3 times what I wanted. then he made my other pint I asked for, and then continued to still give me the wrong ice cream cup. When I told him I still don't have the right one he sighed and walked away and just placed the new one in front of me. Either we need more workers at night because he claimed he had "3" jobs to do at once, or we need a more efficient workers who knows how to provide good customer service and be more fast. I grabbed a vitamin water a worker came up to us asking what me and my friend had just said. We never said anything besides "i love vitamin water". he then kicked us out and when asking why we never received any reason. Did not appreciate this treatment felt mistreated. read more
