This past weekend I was down the hill to spend time with my Mom on Saturday and my eldest daughter on Sunday. Hence, two round trips took a toll on the gas. On my way home on Sun, the last bar on my gas gauge was flashing. I wasn't scared or anything. I assumed I had maybe 30-40 miles left on it. But I didn't want to take a chance so I pulled into the first gas station I saw right after driving up and through the Cajon Pass and reaching Oak Hills. Chevron was it! I'm not a big fan of Chevron due to its higher gas prices compared to other gas brands, but it was my savior at the moment LOL. Don't say you'll never pump at so and so cuz they may come in handy when push comes to shove LOL. Of course it was $5+ per gallon for 87 octane regular. I only pumped 1.5 gallons just enough to get the bar blinking status on gas gauge out of my view LOL. I ended up heading over to Wal-Mart gas afterwards and pumped the rest for $4.49+ per gallon. Big difference, huh! Unfortunately, knocking off 1 star just for the price. Anyway, Chevron did come through and saved the day! Thank you for your presence when I needed you most. Happy Chevron'ing! Lesson learned... pump gas down the hill before heading up the hill... at least have half a tank. read more

Oak Hills Chevron has a marque advertising regular gas at $4.999/gal regular, or $4.799 per gallon if using cash or Chevron card. When I went to the pump, I used my Chevron card, and the gas was being charged at $4.899/gal. I tried alerting the staff, but they refused to even listen, telling me that I was charged the correct price. I pulled out my phone's calculator and showed that I had purchased 2.041 gallons of gas, and multiplying that by $4.899 gives me a total of $9.9998, which is what I was charged ($10.00). The store's staff continued to say I had been charged the correct price and that I was wrong because "nobody else has complained, and if it was wrong other people would have complained!" He told me to call Chevron, and Chevron then asked to speak with the manager. Both offered me a refund of the $0.21 cents in question (the manager without changing either the marque or the price at the pump and continuing to say that I was wrong), but I am not interested in the $0.21. I am a local and would like to know my local gas station isn't going to scam me. Check the number at the pump, then check the marque. Make sure you're not being scammed. Also, I felt bad for the new guy at the station. He didn't know what to do. The older guy (Ben) had a torn shirt and seems underpaid. One extra star for them, because it isn't their fault the owner is running a scam. Maybe the owner should take the money he's been scamming off customers and give his poor staff members a raise. read more

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT! I'm a business man with hundreds of better things to do than to leave a negative review for a poorly-ran, dirty gas station - but this info needs to be shared about the owner of this market/gas station who happened to PHYSICALLY ASSAULT me. I am a Hesperia resident & yesterday as I was going down the hill (15 South) just before Oak Hills exit my trucks radiator began to spit coolant everywhere leaving me with no choice but to exit Oak Hills and stop at the nearest safe location which unfortunately was this gas station that looked merely abandoned. I instantly called AAA for a tow so I can get out of there as soon as possible. As my wife and i were waiting for the tow truck to arrive, we go inside the store to at least give the store some business since we are parked in front of it with a broken-down truck. I purchased a couple ice creams and walked back to my truck to proceed waiting for the tow truck to arrive. About 5 minutes after buying those ice creams, the OWNER of this gas station walks out of the store & to my truck and asks me whats wrong with my truck (my hood was open, indicating a broken-down vehicle) I told him my radiator blew up and that I'm waiting on a tow truck which should arrive in about 20 minutes. Rather than feeling any kind of sympathy for this stranded couple, the owner grins at me and begins to tell me that I need to move the truck out of the gas station ASAP or else he will call the police and tow my truck within 2 minutes...even though I was already waiting for a tow truck. I advised the owner of the gas station that my trucks radiator blew up and it will not start up. He argued with me saying "Yes the truck will run habibi, start it up and move it out of here now". I refused to start my truck because I am not going to risk blowing up the engine by turning it on without any coolant/anti-freeze in the system. After refusing to move my truck due to safety regulations, the owner gets close to my face (no mask) begins to physically assault me by pushing on my shoulders with his fingers telling me "I'M THE OWNER OF THIS STORE, NOBODY CAN MESS WITH ME. I CAN HURT YOU PHYSICALLY AND FINANCIALLY. MOVE THE TRUCK OR I WILL HAVE IT TOWED IN 2 MINUTES" He then begins to cuss me out in Arabic thinking I wont know what hes saying which was unfortunate for him because I am fluent in arabic and understood everything he said. I did not argue with this man, i did not touch this man, i did not get in his way whatsoever. But he did with me. Everything i'm saying on this Yelp review is on surveillance camera by the gas station and should be viewed by authorities ASAP. Lets just hope the cameras work! read more

Stopped here on my way to work to get gas and I bought a Bang XL vape . Half way to work I opened vape and found it was defective. It didn't work or turn on right out of the box. I couldn't turn around to return because I would of been late to work. I stop by on my way home to exchange and the person working in the evening pretty much called me a liar, he said that I smoked it all and he won't exchange it. I told him I've been a customer here for over 4 years and spent hundreds there. I'm not going to waste my time trying to get a free vape, I just want what I paid for. The worker started getting aggressive with me and I had to tell him to calm down. At the end he didn't exchange the vape. Don't come to this gas station, they don't care about their customers. I lost 20 dollars but they lost hundreds because I or my family and friends will never go there again. read more

Shell usually has 4 employees working at Swing shift. They are all lazy, and don't do anything. I am so sick of the management at these stores, too much favortism and family working there that its sad. The Gas Pumps are dirty, the parking lot is dirty. There is only one person that works during graveyard, and they leave everything for him to do. I got a write up for calling off one day for food poisoning, and no one gets written up for doing anything except smoke cigarettes. Horrible dirty store. BE VERY CAREFUL HERE!!! I needed to fill up on my trip from Southern California to Northern California and pulled into a pump...inserted my credit card and it said to "see cashier"...so with my bad leg I had to limp to the office...told the dude what I wanted and he held my card - MISTAKE No. 2 (first mistake was stopping here)...limped back, filled up and again limped to the office...dude was a jerk...I did my thing and got out of there...got home and had a phone call from my bank requesting I contact them about possible fraud on my card...They asked if I had been in Hesperia...I said I had gotten fuel there for $53...they said that charge was approved but a very minutes afterwards a charge for $150 was denied at the same station... now with my card cancelled I am held hostage until another arrives in 10 days... read more

The new ower of this Gas station has chosen charge extra for using a debit card on gas. It will cost you 10 cents a gallon more. So be aware there's a small sign in front of gas station that states that. The owner of this gas station has chosen to do this he owns several Chevron stations on the east side of the 15 freeway in the high desert. Please be aware of this new policy try to find other places that do not practice this policy. read more

On the way to Vegas, group of us stopped at Oak Hills Chevron to get some gas and ladies needed to use restroom. My wife said there were no toilet paper and room was filthy. Apparently only one person was working and he said I'm only one working and I don't have time to clean. My recommendation, Do Not Stops here if you need to use restroom. read more
