Since we have been traveling to Lahaina, Wailuku and Ka'anapali for touring and dining, we were on the look out for a gas station that was the least expensive. Gasoline is more expensive in Kihei than in the SF Bay Area. I'm glad we found this gas station, as the price was $4.09 a gallon. Our first time was to fill up the tank...about $46.00. Second visit was yesterday - to top off the tank before returning the rental car back Avis. Cost: $15.00. The gas pumps are modern looking and the natives (employees) are friendly...lol.

They are also open 24/7, which is a nice perk, because you never have to remember what their hours are. The quality of gasoline at Tesoro is also really good, and my favorite thing about them is that they were one of the first gas stations to offer E-0 or non-ethanol grade fuel which is easier on automobile engines (especially for older cars) and preferable for small engines you use around the house (i.e. lawnmowers and weedwackers). When I started filling up one of my older sports cars and the farm truck with the Tesoro non-ethanol fuel, it was a noticeable difference that I could feel. They both idled smoother and just seemed to run much better.
