I've reviewed other Holiday stores in the past and this one I frequent about 3-4 days a week, however it's not for the store, it's indeed for the car wash. I give the car wash a solid 3.75 stars. I never get a perfect wash, but I like the monthly pass and that components don't touch my car. What I don't like is I never get a perfect wash, it's been closed numerous times when I've tried to wash and OMG this location is just scary! So as far as fuel or the store goes, I don't exit my car here and I'm always VERY aware of my surroundings. Some may think I'm being melodramatic here but when I personally know a couple of people who have been physically assaulted here and hear horror stories from others, it's just not worth it. The location is part of my everyday commute, so it's easy to go here. When I'm on the east side of town, I go to the Muldoon location for a wash, which does a noticeably better job!

I'm sure others can attest to that! Lots of choices for beverages and snacks inside. Once I finally decided on my purchase, as I approached the counter I was greeted with a Good Morning and a smile. However brief the interaction was very professionally and pleasant. Checkout was wick and I was on my way. I'd stop there again for sure! There's a self service car wash outside that does a decent job getting the grime that is ever present during the winter up here off your car.

Here, there are ample gas pumps and parking spaces readily available. The air pump is in the back of the building FYI. I live closest to the Jewel Lake Holiday where stragglers and solicitors are a definite problem. This location is not like that thankfully. Inside, it's spacious, bright and clean. All workers encountered have been competent and fast. The store is well organized and lines move fast. Okay, so...I'm gonna let you guys in on a little secret. Holiday Stationstores sells the best egg rolls in Anchorage. I know....it feels crazy even typing that out. But it is, what it is. They're like $2 for 2. Hot, flavorful and filling vegetable and pork egg rolls. You're welcome (Maui voice).

Every now and then I have run into one that isn't super friendly at the beginning but the moment I engaged and take a moment to ask how they are doing, it turned the whole interaction around! I stop in here a few times a month on my way to work or afterwards and never have any problems or gripes. When a line gets to have more than a couple people, someone else always quickly opens up another line to assist those waiting. I know what I'm in there for, get in and get out, but I prefer this location due to the friendliness and feeling safer than a couple others I pass during my commute!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The space to maneuver around the pumps is a little tight. There are several exits/entrances which is nice.
