I just had the most horrible experience at this store. I came in to purchase mega million tickets…read more I marked three tickets with my own numbers and marked QP for the last two on the form. When I went to the register the cashier told me it wasn't working and that I needed to select six numbers in addition to the Mega number. I went back and read the back of the form where it clearly stated I needed to mark only 5. I got back in a long line and this time when I got up there, the other cashier said it wasn't working because i marked QP and the computer wanted me to choose numbers and to try another form without selecting QP. So I went back and filled out a new form. Since it was my 3rd time attempting to buy my tickets, I walked up to a man (dark, greasy hair, about 5'8") who I assumed was the manager to see if he could help. Now there was only one line open and it was wrapped around the corner. The manager/owner (not really sure who he was because he refused to give his name) was at the other register so I walked up there and he immediately told me he was not open. I told him it was my 3rd time trying to purchase tickets so he sighed and told me to hold on. I waited patiently for him to finish what he was doing and he eventually ran my ticket successfully this time. While paying with my debit card, the man made a comment to another employee that he was tired of the lottery and these "stupid people". I was completely shocked and repeated his comment. "Stupid people"? He looked at me and smirked, then said "you're card isn't working. You must have done something wrong again." I was in shock as I attempted to pay with my debit again, only to show declined a 2nd time. He told me to give him his tickets back. Oh my God! I couldn't believe how rude I was being treated by this man. I asked him why he was being such an asshole. He said, "you're blaming my employees when you don't know what you're doing and you're the one cussing at me." I know I shouldn't have used the word asshole but I was so upset at how I was being treated and that is exactly how he was acting. I asked for his name but he wouldn't give it to me. Thankfully the nice older gentlemen came and helped me. I paid cash and left in complete awe of what had just happened. I wish I would have taken my business elsewhere. When I got in my car I received a text from my bank saying my card was denied for consumer control. I'm not sure but I think he was hitting a button on his end because there was no issue with my card. I should add that this same man was attempting to help an older couple with their ticket while I attempted to pay the first time. He was rude to them and they left without a resolution to their ticket that couldn't be read. I should have known better. I will never set foot in that store again!

Today I forgot to give him money, so i told him I'd wait for him in the Shell parking lot because the school lot is insane. All the stalls are marked customers only... which my son was going to be after I gave him $. The owner came out, and I caught his attention & explained that I wasn't just parking there- I was waiting for my son to arrive so I could give him $ to get something at his store. He abruptly told me to leave & park in the general parking lot next door instead. I showed him the money & said my son would be by in 10 minutes, but he insisted I leave immediately, thus abandoning my son who was expecting me to be there waiting for him. I left, then looped around & headed back in the store & explained how much money we spend at that store during the season(about $40 a month). The owner even recognized me because we also go there before 6am practice on Fridays. I reiterated that I wasn't loitering, I was actively waiting for my son to give him money to spend IN HIS STORE. He told me that parking is for current customers only, not future customers, & that from now on, I can take my business elsewhere. When I left, exactly 0 people were in the parking lot- people are not CLAMORING to go there for major purchases. Customer service tip #1- don't bite the hand that feeds you.
