They even have self check out registers!! Gas is priced on par with everyone else. The whole establishment is clean and organized. I told him that I would show him my ID to show that it was my credit card, but he said if I wanted him to turn the pump on I would have to leave my ID with him. I told him he must be insane because why would I leave both my credit card and my ID just to get gas. I asked him why and he said that is what I want you to do. I said a few choice words for the man to ponder. He then stated that if I needed to cuss I would have to leave. I gave him a few more choice words before I left. He then stated that if I came back he would have me arrested for trespassing. I told him that he did not have to worry about me coming back because I would never ever give my business.

But each time after that it was just sad. The grands lived up in NE Texas so of course we were required to stop for the kids if they were in the truck. The last sandwich I had was a soggy mess on what looked like bread but tasted like cotton balls. Those nuggets reminded me a lot like Crunch n Munch but with a horrible aftertaste even their weak "coffee" couldn't wash away. It's been years since we've been back so I don't know if it's still true but it seemed to me those times that the greater portion of their branded merchandise and other "Texas" souvenirs were made in China. I had been driving for a while and it was really early... so I didn't see that they were charging one price for cards and a lesser for cash! I hate that!! There's a lot of cool stuff at this exit and it usually has the cheapest prices maybe alongside Bucee's a few miles to the north - or sometimes a little cheaper or more expensive. I've stopped at this gas station several times now and will probably do so again.

They had a full selection of tshirts, onesies, wine glasses, cooking utensils and everything in between. Great gifts to pick up on the way to family or friends. We stuck to snacks but definitely might be back before Christmas. I only bought wine, soda and candied pecans.
