Talked to Chico and he blamed the water leaking from the radiator cap and boiling water that we could hear on a bad gasket in the radiator cap. Had a different mechanic look at it who said they should have done a pressure test and replaced the thermostat... called Chico back and he said he only did what I told him was broken. If I was a mechanic I wouldn't need to take my vehicle to a shop to be repaired. I trusted Chico to fix what I knew was broken as well as anything else that might leave me and my kids stranded on the side of the road. Turns out the thermostat is stuck and there is possibly damage done to the head gaskets. I just spent another $2000 at this shop approximately a month ago on a brake job and some odds and ends repair.

My 3rd Toyota is a FJ Cruiser. Most mechanics dont even want to touch it. The exhaust shop in Palestine did more damage than repairs. 5R replaced the entire exhaust for the same price as the other shops "repairs". I'm waiting for my tax return to have them put on a lift kit. The ladies at the desk seem more knowledgeable than the "mechanics" at Palestine Toyota

I was worried that there was a major problem with the car, but it was nearing 6PM when I stopped at a gas station to inquire about the availability of 24 hour auto repair services nearby. The gas station directed me to 5R Tire & Services. 5R Tire & Services looked at my car immediately; diagnosed that the problem was related solely to the AC and that my car was safe to drive for the rest of my trip. They knew that they did not have the parts to fix my car, so they didn't even charge me for the diagnosis. The young men who helped me were expert and honest.
