This is a great Vietnamese/Chinese run restaurant in Maroubra Junction. It is one of my favourite lunch spots. It is a decent size space with a simple set up, with their main objective serving food in mind. As to be expected with a quality reasonably priced restaurant, they do get busy. Who doesn't like BBQ and roasts? These guys serve up quality Chinese BBQ and roast meat including pork, duck and chicken. They have an extensive menu serving Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine in big portions. I recommend sticking to the Chinese and keeping it simple. I usually go for the Noodle soup with BBQ meat combination and they serve the meat on the side. Which I prefer as the suop tends take away from the flavour of the meat. My boyfriend and I went there for lunch last Saturday at around 1pm. Surprisingly, the restaurant was not crowded and we did not need to wait. Mix BBQ rice (Roast duck/ BBQ pork): There were more bones than meat on the roast duck, which was disappointing. The BBQ pork was a little too dry. Crispy chicken with fried rice: Not too bad, except the fried rice is a little too bland. Probably not worth paying an extra $1 for it. Overall, the portion was very generous (especially the amount of rice they serve) for what it cost. However, I feel that this restaurant is over-rated. I will probably not go there again. read more

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING SERVICE! The servers at this restaurant have zero manners and zero people skills. My family and I came tonight for dinner and there were no clean/available tables except for one. We went over to sit at it and could see that the servers were busy wiping down other tables and clearing some bowls away, so we decided to wait for them to finish. One server (the co-owner/manager of the restaurant) walked past us numerous times as he was clearing up. He had seen us walk in and knew we had not been served yet; bear in mind that this is a small restaurant and you can see everyone. About 7 minutes later, the servers had finished clearing up so we waved to the manager to let him know we were there and to ask for some menus. He acknowledged us, and took a solid 5 minutes to bring us the menus. Not that he was in the middle of doing anything, he was actually just watching some show on the television on the wall! He came over and we asked him (politely) if he could wipe the table down, as there were remnants of food on it. He rudely responded with "Just move." His tone was unnecessary, so we told him "No, we'd like to sit here thanks." He huffed and walked off (taking the menus with him), and brought back a cloth to wipe down the table. He walked off again, and proceeded to chat with his friends who were sitting 2 tables away from us. We were a little stunned at his brazen rudeness, so we waved again to get his attention. THIS DISGUSTING MAN LOOKED OVER AT US TWICE AND COMPLETELY IGNORED US! There were people at tables next to us who were watching as well, so we weren't being unreasonable either! At this point we were truly disgusted with the way we were being treated so we got up and left. We told him how rude he was as we walked out. His response? "I thought you only wanted me to clean you table." WHERE IS THE COMMON SENSE IN THAT? Any person with half a brain could tell you that a person in a restaurant, is there to look at a menu to order food. Who is dumb enough to walk in and just want a table to be wiped? The fact that he was the restaurant owner/manager, and had the gall to say that, was incredibly stupid. I have spoken to numerous other friends in the Eastern Suburbs area who have also confirmed they no longer go to this restaurant because of the appalling service and treatment. 100% would NOT recommend. read more

It is very hard to miss this place as you went pass Maroubra Junction. Even harder when you see the price tag. Not quite sure what cuisine they are trying to emphasize on. There is Vietnamese, Malay and Hongkong Style food. Anyway they are all inspired by South China style cooking. Food quality is good so is their service. Price can't complain. We love their BBQ Pork, Roast pork and roast duck. read more
